Ten minutes of steam therapy
I’d like to give a big shout-out to the Vicks company. From their warm mist humidifiers, to their classic VapoRub, to the new product I just tried, the dissolving shower tablets (think VapoRub turned to steam in the shower), Vicks is letting me handle the remnants of my 2-1/2 weeks of flu, then a bad cold, without ingesting medications.I discovered that regular Theraflu, and Theraflu D made me very nauseated. One or more ingredients in the meds messed me up. I mean, they allowed me to breathe and not cough so much, but I wanted to stop taking them ASAP. Thanks, Vicks, for the external remedies.

Breathe Easy… But Hurry
These shower steamers work wonders for clearing up sinuses—the menthol and eucalyptus combo hits fast and makes you feel like you just walked into a spa (or a very fancy cough drop). The only downside? They dissolve faster than my motivation on a Monday morning. I wish they lasted longer, but while they’re going, they’re great. If you need a quick sinus-clearing boost, they’re worth it—just don’t expect an all-day aromatherapy session.

It’s nice… just not for everyone
So someone said that they could smell it from outside the package… I wasn’t. I was able to get a slight whiff of it. Ever since Covid, I couldn’t smell anything, and that’s probably my issue.Being said, in the shower it’s more pronounced, but still not the same. I was expecting the VaboRub sensation where nothing isn’t unclogged after you use it. I still had that same feeling, but it was definitely less noticeable. Best way to describe it is comparing it to a soda/ pop you had ice with, and now all the ice melted. It’s still the drink, and it’s still cold, just not as strong as it was.Other issue is the duration. It’s gone fast, and the hotter your water, the faster it melts. So if you like H O T showers, it’ll only last 2-3 minutes if you have it directly bring hit with water.Another issue is the price. I think $1 for each one is a fair ask, and you use it every once in a while (even if not congested). Instead it’s $3, and it will be something I only use when I’m sick due to its cost.Last issue is the packaging… do people normally have scissors in their shower? It’s hard to open; especially if you’re wet.On the upside, even out of the shower it still giving that distinct Vicks sensation.
