I got my life back
I started taking Tru Niagen based on the recommendation of my Naturopath Doctor and have never been so pleased. I have been on it for 4 months, but I felt better after just a few days of taking it. I had issues with exhaustion, I would last until about 2-4 pm every day and need to go to bed. I was explaining to my doctor that cells don’t seem to heal, sores stay around for months, if I get sick, it’s 3 months of healing, not a couple of weeks, I eat well, but don’t seem to absorb the vitamins in what I eat. She said I probably had mitochondrial disfunction and to get an NAD booster. I was already taking a methylated B vitamin and while it helped, it wasn’t enough. This NAD booster has given me my life back. I suddenly have energy until the evening. I’m no longer too exhausted to get in the car and run an errand after dark. I’m not completely healed (I have chronic pain and it didn’t help that), but to not be utterly exhausted every day is amazing!

I have noticed more brain sharpness, less fogginess. I would not take without eating something first, or eat right after taking. This is supposed to be a cellular long term health repair and that is what I am taking it for.

Whoever is advising the company to take this approach is doind a great diservice to the real science that may lie behind NR.”NAD levels fall 65% as you age! Niagen boosts NAD levels 40 – 50%.” Copying big pharma’s use of relative values that sound impressive but that most people don’t have the skills to understand. Using their ad chart showing a max NAD level at age 30 — let’s call that value 100 — declining to a minimum at age 70 — let’s call that value 1 — a 70 year old man may very well increase his NAD level 50% to a whopping and hardly noticeable 1.5.That said, there is an abundance of legitimate research on the potential benefits of NR supplementation. This product appears to be the best available and likely worth a trial run. After one month of 300mg/day I’ve personally noted a definite improvement in sleep quality and possibly a percieved increase in exercise tolerence. I plan to continue using and experiment with a slightly higher dose for one more month.

I have been taking two every morning for quite a few years. I have no idea if these things are why I have so much more energy than my neighbors who are ten years younger. It could just be genetics.
