Others seem to love this, but it was just not the right scraper for me.
I surprised myself recently by discovering a tool that actually made me want to floss more. It’s a good feeling to not dread flossing anymore. So what I was looking for from this was simply a tool that would make me want to scrape my tongue more often. Unfortunately unlike most of the others here I’m going to have to continue looking.I have the U-shaped scrapers. It’s a wide tool and seems intended to scrape the entire width of your tongue, but in practive what I’ve found is that it’s difficult to apply the scraping force evenly across the width of the scraper. It’s also not so easy to get the force you would prefer, but I found that this can be solved by gripping the scraper further up, giving you more leverage.Neither of those issues are deal breakers. In the end the tool does an ok job once you learn to adapt to its peculiarities. Still if you use a fingernail or something you’re likely to find more tongue gunk that could be removed. In the end the main factor is that I simply don’t enjoy the way this wide metal U feels on my tongue when I’m scraping. It’s possible that the spoon-shaped option might have been a better choice, but I have no desire to resume using this tool so I’m not sure.I’m glad that other people are enjoying this tool so much – it is sturdy and the travel containers are convenient. But it’s not for me. I’d give it three-and-a-half stars if I could.

I had never tried a toungue scraper before yet have heard of the benefits, thus I got this set of 2 for me and my wife. After the first use, the difference in my breath was like night and day–instant freshness! Whether I use it at night or morning, or both, the freshness lasts for hours.+ Easy To Use: Scrape, rinse, scrape again. It’s that easy! With a just a few swipes, I can easily remove the funk off my tongue, with the U shape fitting well in my mouth. My wife found this also easy for her to use, with the U adjustable so that it didn’t bother her dental bridge work. We like to soak ours in peroxide after using to keep them clean.+ Sturdy and Clean Design! These scrapers aren’t flimsy in the least! They hold up well to scraping and are not rough on the tongue while being firm enough to remove the buildup of grime. The handle and scraping surface also has no gaps where gross things can get stuck. The whole device is easy to clean and even comes with a ventilated box for travel use. My travel conference breath says thanks!+ Great Breath! Both my wife and I like poking fun at each other’s morning breath, and my breath also isn’t the freshest after I’ve had some odd foods, a drink, or a cigar. Even if I brush my teeth, the smells still remain, so the odor must have been coming from my tongue. After our first day getting these, my wife and I each used ours in the evening, and come morning… boom! We stunk way less! No kidding! My mouth also didn’t have my usual horrid morning taste and felt more moist as compared to dry. Later, when I tried this to freshen my breath after eating cheese and on another day after having a cigar… whoa! No brushing needed! A few scrapes cleared my breath of bad odor! I stunk significantly less than if I were just to brush, use mouthwash, or swig with water. These scrapers are a game changer for bad breath and tongue funk!
