I will be honest in that collagen was probably the best solution for me to start with but because I felt and read a lot of reviews about people taking collagen powder for anti-aging purposes that I wanted to stay away from it because I wasn’t looking to turn back time. Luckily the good Lord has blessed me there so far.I needed to focus on something that would help me with my chronic pain with my tendons, joints and overall pain since I have a lot of neurological issues. I was in a bad accident a year ago that changed my life and I have been in consistent pain ever since. I have gotten very sick because of it have lost a lot of weight and muscle mass. Pretty much the muscle mass was the weight I had. Along with being in my 40s and heading into that stage of my life being a woman, you lose a lot of nutrients and become deficient in a lot of things at this point. My body doesn’t bounce back as fast as it used to regardless of my old tricks of replenishing what I think I’ve lost. I don’t want to be put on prescription pain medication and I always prefer to go the natural route.I’ve tried everything from hemp oil, hemp capsules, cherry tart capsules and everything in between and it helped a little but not a significant difference to where I could fully function without thinking about the pain. What I needed was something that would focus on helping my muscles and tendons recover because since I have to do consistent PT everyday and keep my body motivated so I can keep my joints lubricated I needed something that would help benefit my muscles, help with the pain so what I was doing with my body would amount to something.I did a lot of research on collagen proteins because there are many different kinds. I was considering trying to powder to put in my smoothies but I’m really not a fan of it. I literally went through Amazon and read a whole bunch of reviews on different collagen products. All of them focus on anti-aging until I came across Purely Optimal collagen complex product. I read a few reviews that were focused on the same issue I had with my muscles. There was a specific one that resignated with me. It was from an individual who was in so much pain that she was not able to do anything not even her PT. Her chiropractor recommended this type of supplement. She said within 24 hours the pain was gone and she was able to function and it’s been a few weeks later and she is in full-blown beast mode in terms of functioning great, feeling good without pain enable to do her exercises. I figured there had to be something to it so I gave it a shot.When I received this supplement I have to be honest within 24 hours I was feeling significantly better! I have been taking it for a few weeks now and I can’t go a day without this! Because of this product it is truly working for my body. I have been able to gain back some really nice muscle mass the complement the exercising I’m doing every day. My pain is either gone or depending on the weather very dull. I am participating more in my life like I used to and able to get back to the activities I used to do like hiking in Marathon walking. My husband is even deleted because he has his wife back. It’s frustrating when somebody you love has to watch you decline into somebody or not and it changes you. It’s amazing how much your attitude changes when your body cooperates and you can do what you want! The other great part is I do like that the clear capsules are such where you can put the powder inside it in a drink so I do put it in my smoothies. I don’t taste anything at all so there’s no funky taste that comes with it if you do it that way.I recommended this product to my relatives dealing with similar issues and I would recommend it to anybody in my situation or being older dealing with arthritis, joint pain, tendon pain, chronic pain that comes with things like fibromyalgia etc. This product will change your life and it’s a must-have. It has all the right proteins in it to do what you will need it to do.I have also noticed some other nice perks aside in terms of my eyebrows are finally starting to grow back after I over plucked them in my youth so I have to do a double take when I see them! I had to use the fill-in powder for years and I still will need to use it for a little bit longer but at the rate these are going I might be able to put away the powder for good! I put an up close picture up to show you the growth that has happened from this product alone for my eyebrows. The second photo of myself I am wearing the powder because I will need to for a while but that picture is specifically for my hair . For me, this is long hair for now while it’s growing out. It was much shorter than that before taking this product ! I think it even looks nicer and is more Cooperative to work with now too. It’s funny seeing hair above my eyes and I have to remind myself that it’s my eyebrows! My eyelashes are also filling back in. I always had long, full eyelashes. And still do but as I’m getting older the hair is falling out so I have some gaps and the hair is starting to grow back there now! I tried to take an up-close photo for you and point to where an example of my gaps are and hopefully you can see regardless that there is new growth coming in where that gap is it’s the little spiky hairs under my finger. I did not put makeup on before taking the picture because I felt it would mask what I was trying to show you. My reviews are genuine and I felt this was the best way to show that. My hair is growing like crazy which is nice for me because I had really short hair and have been trying to grow it out for over a year and taking this product has expedited the process so much to the point that even after a couple of weeks of taking it, I already had to trim my hair in the back so it wouldn’t get longer than the front and I am not complaining! My nails are growing like nobody’s business so I have to keep them trimmed and my skin even looks better too! Again I am definitely not complaining!So I ordered it for my pain but I am getting a lot of amazing perks that come with the use of collagen. As far as I can tell after one bottle, it’s worth trying.
I was searching for a supplement that would help keep my skin resilient, nails strong, and with hair thickness. I’ve found that after taking a low dosage of hydrochlorothiazide for mild hypertension following a recovery from surgery related sepsis, that my hair was thinning. Also, my nails began weakening and I began to notice the first signs of the dreaded “skin crepe”. I wanted to be proactive in doing something before any of this escalated, so I substantially researched the possible benefits of taking collagen supplements. Additionally, I adopted a lifestyle three years ago that focuses heavily on whole foods, with no animal products. I understand and had to make a decision whether animal based collagen would be right for me, and after much consideration and research, decided that I would be ok with this, considering not only beauty related benefits, but the importance of collagen for overall optimum health, including healthy bones and joints (I was also beginning to experience joint pain, which really concerned me). Anyway, I came across this product, which received many glowing reviews and decided to give it a try. While after almost completing my first bottle, I cannot say much for noticeable improvement of hair or resilience of skin, it seems my nails are a bit stronger, and I do not notice joint pain (if this is due to these collagen supplements, then it’s a huge gain!) I forgot to mention that I’m approaching fifty (which blows my mind..where’d the years go!?) and realize my body’s lack of ability to create its own collagen. Another important benefit worth mentioning (although feels weird just writing this because it’s such a private subject) is it noticeably improves regularity. If you’re desiring daily, full movements with noooo problems, then this is the supplement for you!). That alone makes this a winner, the other potential benefits would be definite bonuses! I eat well, stay active and hydrated, drug and alcohol free, etc., but can still have issues sometimes…this helps dramatically and promotes a more healthy “feeling” from fuller eliminations. Icky subject, but necessary part of health, so there ya “go” (little pun for your enjoyment). Bottom line: I’d like to continue taking this supplement and would recommend at least trying it to anyone concerned about collagen loss in general. Have been taking these for 3 weeks now. I wish it was 1 capsule per day instead of 4 but it’s fine since I have no issues with taking supplements. Nails are growing very fast! I need to cut every week now instead of every other week. I recently got a haircut to see how well and fast my hair can grow. My skin has also been smoother, plumper and experiencing less breakouts. Didn’t change my skin care routine for consistency. So this means it’s really working. The bottle comes with a not saying I can get a free bottle if I do a review or survey but it’s only for USA I believe. A pity!
