Great tasting & gives me the small boost I need!
I’m 12 weeks pregnant and needed my 3 pm boost of energy at work. I found these with decent reviews and thought I’d give them a try. I’ve had them the past 2 days and while I don’t feel wired or super energized, I feel alert and able to finish out the workday!Some people say it has a metal or fishy taste, but I don’t get that at all. I add it to a 16oz bottle of water and shake it well. It is a bit tart, but nothing unbearable. It tastes like a watermelon jolly rancher to me! It’s a safe alternative for energy while pregnant, and it’s a win for me! The price is a bit of a bummer, but I only drink it when I need the boost, so it’ll last me a while.

Lifesaver throughout pregnancy!
Purchasing my second pack. It was so helpful for a little boost during the first trimester. Didnât use it every day either, just as needed. Now that Iâm in my third trimester I am STRUGGLING again! It tastes like pink starbursts to me personally so I really like it and it helps me make sure Iâm staying hydrated! No jitters, and it helps so much for that full body exhaustion iykyk! Highly recommend!

Smells like strawberries, taste like sour watermelon
I really wanted to like this but I just donât. If you donât normally like the flavor of watermelon or strawberry, this is not the product for you. Packaging is beautiful. As soon as you open a packet it automatically smells like strawberry which is overwhelming if you donât like that smell. It does start to smell like watermelon once you start mixing it but thereâs always a strawberry smell to it which affects the flavor. Itâs sour. I could only force sip about half of the serving before I had to call it quits. I donât feel nausea due to pregnancy this morning since drinking it but I have had the urge to puke it up because of how much I hate the flavor and smell (I HATE strawberries). I read people saying it taste like a jolly rancher, that is a lie. It definitely does NOT taste like a jolly rancher. I am going to try this again but mix it will lemonade instead of water to try to improve the flavor. I really wished they would have made this specific product in other flavors though because I have no energy in the day starting from when I wake up and I really need that boost so I can keep up with my prenatal workouts and actually be able to do things in the day. I have two other kids I have to take care of and I really needed that energy to help me out. Itâs worth a shot if those smells and flavors donât bother you but after only drinking half, I have no nausea but I also havenât gained any energy..

Better than the old packaging but beware
With my pregnancy in 2017 my husband had purchased this from our local vitamin shoppe it was the old box packaging. I liked the boost of energy I got for my workouts being that I could no longer take preworkout but I HATED the taste. It had a horrid super fishy taste towards the end of my mix. With my pregnancy now in 2019 I was apprehensive of buying it again because of that taste, but being that I knew it worked I looked for it anyways. Chasing a toddler and being in the first trimester is no easy feat. I noticed they changed the packaging and every review raved about the taste. I purchased it and was pretty satisfied with the new drink mix, it does taste just like a jolly rancher but once again when you get to the bottom of it or you donât chug the mix down when it freshly mixed it can have a fishy taste. Not half as bad as the one I tried in the past. Itâs passable, but if youâre easily triggered with smells or taste beware.

Not the same taste & poor customer service.
I used Premama energy with my first pregnancy and loved it. Was a life saver. A nice change from water and had great watermelon jolly rancher taste. I was pumped when I saw it pop up on Amazon for my current pregnancy. The taste was totally different. Tried one and it had terrible fishy after taste and smell. Couldnât bring myself to have anymore. I messaged Premama and never heard back. So disappointing and what a waste of money.

Works for me!
Currently 13 weeks pregnant and needed a little boost of energy for whenever I have food coma after lunch or just get tired in the afternoon. Definitely works like it says but only for like 2-4ish hours. Not as strong as coffee as Iâm usually a regular coffee drinker when not pregnant. But it does give you a little boost when needed. Tastes like sour watermelon gummies which didnât bother me at all. I prefer it cold so I usually mix it in a cup of water with ice or in a water bottle. Would recommend! Helps with drinking more water too.
