Best toothpaste for dogs on the market
It really helps our poodles teeth stay clean. Poodles have a lot of tartar buildup in this type of toothpaste has an enzyme in it and really works. Definitely would recommend. Buy the Oral-B Pulstar 2 pk for $10 ultrasonic toothbrushes to go with it.

As I try to pull his toothbrush away, he leans forward to keep licking it.
We have a 6 1/2-year-old Labradoodle. I have brushed his teeth before bed every night since he was a puppy. I have ordered different dog toothpastes over the years and have consistently ordered this Petrodex Toothpaste for Dogs and Puppies because itâs his favorite. After squeezing a small layer of toothpaste on top of his toothbrush, I tap my left thigh, and he’ll come sit right beside my knee. He tolerates me lifting the side of his lip so that I can slide his Oral-B toothbrush along his teeth as best I can. When I try to brush his back molars once in a while, he still balks and “gags.” Also, I can only brush his front and bottom teeth if I briefly clasp his open bottom jaw with my fingers and quicky do a “scrub” along and behind those teeth. What helps a lot is that he is anxious to taste this Petrodex; I think he likes the supposed poultry flavor. I’ll stop brushing so he can periodically lick the paste around his mouth. He also enjoys licking the toothbrush so much that he slides down to lay on my feet as I hold the toothbrush for him. I’ll turn it on each side so he can lick all around it. Many times, he’s so into it that as I try to pull the toothbrush away, he leans forward to keep licking it. Regular brushing of a dog’s teeth is just as important as it is for us.It’s also good that it has a long shelf life. I ordered it January, 2025, and the box and tube both have an expiration date of April, 2027.If you research the ingredients in this enzymatic toothpaste, they appear to be perfectly safe. I recommend this product for dogs.

Great toothpaste. Our boxer loves it!
I chose Sentry Petrodex Enzymatic Toothpaste for many reasons, the first of which is safety. Human toothpaste is not formulated for use with canines, so you need to be sure to buy a dog toothpaste if you’re going to brush your Fido’s teeth. Sentry Petrodex Enzymatic toothpaste for dogs is a veterinary strength toothpaste that uses patented enzymes that work to control plaque, prevent tartar from forming and fight bad breath. Itâs a non-foaming formula that doesnât require rinsing â perfect for squirmy dogs that would not enjoy having a small glass of water dumped into their mouth. The formula produces hydrogen peroxide, which not only helps to clean your dogâs teeth, but it will leave them sparkling white with regular use. Weâve used other canine toothpastes in the past, and although some of them clean the teeth, they leave the yellow stains behind. Its poultry flavor entices your dog, and it is specifically formulated for pets. I also like that this canine toothpaste is made in the United States. We tested about 10 different products, but each time we kept coming back to Sentry Petrodex Enzymatic Toothpaste for Dogs. The most important thing for me is that our boxer, Chloe liked it, and Iâm sure most other pet owners would agree with that. Chloe loves the flavor. Sheâd lick it out of the tube as a treat if I would let her. Also, the texture of the toothpaste wasnât gritty. I wasnât sure about Chloe, but I know I wouldnât like something gritty being rubbed all over my teeth. The texture was great and Chloe liked the flavor. But did the product actually work?Yes! It was amazing. Chloe had noticeable tartar buildup on the bottom of her teeth, and within just a few short days of using this toothpaste from Sentry it was markedly shrinking. I used this dog toothpaste twice a day for the first month that we had Chloe because her teeth were so bad, so the results would probably take longer to notice if you werenât using it as often. The only thing I will say is that Chloeâs breath still isnât very good. Honestly, I think the toothpaste helps, but her dental hygiene was so poor when we adopted her that her breath will never be normal. The best thing about enzymatic toothpaste is that it works with the natural power of enzymes. I donât have to worry about harsh chemicals hurting her teeth, irritating her gums or making her sick when using Sentry Petrodex Enzymatic Toothpaste for Dogs.

My fur baby LOVES this! The peanut butter flavor is a win, win!
Works better than anything else I’ve tried. AND my fur baby, Leesa, loves the flavor. She runs to me now when I call her for teeth brushing. Of course the peanut butter flavor is the big seller. After about 4 days, I noticed her breath was smelling better (before her smelled AWFUL ð). Well, I found a product that boasts it’s better than toothpaste, easier to use because you just add it to their food. Oh, it’s just dried seaweed. It’s boasts being made in the USA. Well, I’m going back to the toothpaste. At least I know it works as advertised.

I tried this toothpaste because my dog goes nuts for peanut butter and thought maybe she would put up with tooth-brushing if there’s a toothpaste in a similar taste. For me (as a human), I can’t really tell if this smells like peanuts but it seems it kind of tastes nice to my dog. And it does what a toothpaste is supposed to do. I’d be happy to purchase another one next time.

It has a liver taste and hence your pooch won’t hesitate to brush. Plus the properties are quite good for their dental health. I would recommend to give it a try. Brush 3-4 times a week with small quantity on a soft bristle toothbrush. Recommended.
