Works well, go with unscented if you don’t like strong scents

I ordered a second jar of this in the unscented version. I like it so much better. No smell at all – it doesn’t even have any lingering scent of hamburger grease like some tallow balms I’ve tried in the past. I really like how it feels on my face. Very moisturizing. If you don’t like strong scents, definitely go with the unscented version.
So far so good… It feels nice on my skin and gives me a pretty glow. Works well under my makeup. Took off one star for the scent. I got the lavender and it doesn’t really smell like lavender to me, more like one of those 90’s bathroom candles (iykyk) and the scent is very strong, so if strong smells bother you, I’d go with the unscented version. I picked lavender because it’s more of a unisex scent and thought my husband could also use it, but it smells very feminine – almost like cotton or baby powder scent – and he didn’t care for it, so I doubt he will use it. Overall though, nice product and I’ll likely order again – just the unscented version.

Little goes a long way
This balm is great , I ordered lavender one and itâs so good , smells amazing and really good for that winter dry skin . I use it on my lips too , so no chapped lips .
Itâs thick and you really need just a little bit of it otherwise your face will be greasy .
And I love the glass jar it came in .

One bad thing is lid was chipped . So packaging issue and perhaps handling . It really should indicate that itâs breakable , so delivery person would handle with care .

My skin has never been better! The texture, the pigment, and the glow are amazing and such a confidence boost! I have ordered this product multiple times, and I am in love! The only reason I gave this product 4/5 stars is that the last time I got this product, the tallow was almost grainy. The first time I got this product the tallow was so smooth and soothing to put on, now it is almost like a harsh exfolident. When I order it again, the texture and consistency will be better.

Terra Lotus beef tallow is great! I love the lavender scent. I love that it keeps my face moisturized and I havenât had any break-out. My skin feels soft. A little greasy but I donât mind it cause my skin is dry. The direct seller has #1 customer service i had a small issue but they took care of me. Iâm very grateful to their quick response. I love this product. I bought two jars on 1/15/25 one for myself and one for my mom. I had been having dry skin and especially dry around my eyelids so dry that it was causing some weird irritation, swelling. I had used Zyrtec and steroid cream to help but it only helped for a couple days then I had to reapply. It wasnât working and I didnât wanna keep using either and my regular moisturizer wasnât cutting it. I thought Iâm gonna try this product since itâs more natural and at least if I use it everyday Iâd feel better about it knowing itâs not full of chemicals. Well long story short itâs now 1/30/25 and my whole face eyes feel amazing so moisturized no more cracking no more swelling no more Zyrtec or steroid cream. Iâm so happy I bought this and I use it every night and morning it doesnât affect the way my makeup looks it actually helps my makeup glide on easily. I usually wait about 2-3 min before applying my makeup and I use less tallow in the morning than I use at bedtime. A little goes a long way so although the jar is small itâll still last. I absolutely recommend it. Oh and the citrus scent is very light and I donât smell any beef or weirdness at all. It has a very pleasant light smell to it. This product is fantastic. I hope they never change anything about it Iâm so pleased with it.

So I thought this was a fad but decided to try it
I honestly didn’t have high hopes. Because we’ve all seen these fads and trends and the beef tallow hype has been hyping, right? It’s EVERYWHERE making us think…. Am I doing my face care wrong? Have I been doing it wrong this whole time? But how many fads turn out to be just that? How many things just don’t live up to the hype?
So I was skeptical to say the least. BUT I have learned a lot about the toxins and chemicals we take into our bodies every day through food and have made many changes with what me and my family eat, even though I’ve always been obsessed with healthy whole foods. There’s always room to improve right? And don’t get me started on seed oils! Gawd! They are everywhere!
But I never thought about what I was putting onto only my biggest organ!!! My skin!
Looking at the insane list of ingredients I can’t pronounce, on my very nice moisturizer that I’ve been using and loving for years, and I felt like an idiot once I really thought about it.
So I thought, I guess I’ll try this beef tallow fad.
I have been struggling with menopause skin. If you know you know. Struggling with acne for the first time in my life while my skin is also painfully dry. I swear to God… Are the hot flashes, insomnia, brain fog, and exhaustion not enough? I also have to have cystic acne, crepe like skin around my eyes, and skin of the Sahara!?! Seriously!?!
So I got this beef tallow moisturizer. Took a chance. Was worried it might make this crazy acne worse. Or that it might smell too strongly like beef or even citrus! But it was Amazon so I thought…. Well I can return it if I hate it.
And out the gate I was like… Hmmmm greasy. And I’m not sure. But the smell was nice, not too much at all. And no beef lol. So I began to try it a bit here and there for the first week. Took me a min to figure out how much was too much and to get use to working with it and the feel of it cause it’s different. And I hate change! Lol But then I started slugging it on with castor oil at night. And woke up looking less like the crypt keeper. Another week goes by and I start realizing that my skin feels better when I use this stuff rather than when I use my normal moisturizer. And I lean more into the beef tallow. I noticed if I put it on at night I don’t need more in the morning now, especially after slugging.
And then I realized that it has been a week since any acne. Then two weeks. Then 4!!!!
And then I have people saying things like “Your skin looks absolutely amazing” or “You are glowing”. WHAT!?!? ME? I haven’t glowed in 4 years!
And then I begin to look in the mirror again. Quit looking at myself a couple years back. But I was Liking that girl looking back cause damn her skin looks AMAZING. She doesn’t look like a paper bag anymore! That’s the skin she used to have! It’s back!
Honestly I cannot tell you how big of a deal this stuff is. I haven’t tried any other brands but who cares!?! This stuff right here? It just fixed my menopause skin. Ladies if you know, you freaking know!
I will say that slugging your face with castor oil mixed with this beef tallow is a pro tip. But don’t slug directly up to your lashes! It will irritate your eyeballs. So stay about a half inch away from upper and lower lashes ladies! You’re welcome! But I would highly suggest doing that. Castor oil is an anti inflammatory, pore cleanser, and helps your cells regenerate, heals scars, etc. But slugging with my old moisturizer and castor oil did not do what this combo of the tallow and castor is doing!!! So enjoy it!
But during the day, a tiny bit of this stuff on your face is all you need. The skin around your eyes is going to LOVE IT. Your lips will love it. Your cheeks, neck, forehead, everything.
I wish they sold tubs of the stuff so I could use it all over my body but I’ll take the win with the face and I use coconut oil on my body anyways.
So Try this tallow. Give it time. Get use to it. Then soak up the compliments. Hell, you’ll compliment your self when you see you in the mirror! Lol
