Packaging was lacking, no cushion or boxing so one of them burst upon arrival. Luckily majority of the product is still in the tube and the packaging has less an environmental impact.I purchased QTY 4 because I do weekly outdoor activities and I’ll be traveling in the summer to a tropical area. But all 4 bottles expire within 7 months of my purchase. That’s annoying, I thought I’d have enough to last me until the end of the year.Some great things about this product:I sweat a lot so it’s great for my body because it’s actually water resistant. I can still feel it intact.Yes it is going to give a very white cast, but it’s not meant to be used while going out and about in cute settings. It’s meant to be used during physical outdoor activity. So who cares what you look like. But that’s my take.The white cast is the zinc oxide, the literal mineral doing thr blocking. So nothing we can do but accept it because it needs to do its job. Tradeoff to looking like an ashy clown is skin cancer protection.If you really care about what your face looks like in photos while doing outdoor activities then it’s time to shell out bigger bucks for sunscreen that is as water resistant and smears better on skin.Remember to reapply every 90 minutes and for every application, it’s half a teaspoon for your face and neck, no matter what sunscreen protection brand you’re using.

So, I decided to try out the Neutrogena Sheer Zinc Oxide Kids Mineral Sunscreen, and let me tell you, it’s like I’ve entered the world of sunscreen magic!First of all, the name “Sheer Zinc Oxide” is a bit of an oxymoron, isn’t it? I mean, zinc oxide is usually associated with that lifeguard-nose-white look, but Neutrogena has managed to make it, well, kinda sheer.Applying this stuff was an adventure in itself. I felt like I was auditioning for a modern art installation as I tried to evenly spread the sunscreen. It’s like finger-painting, but on my face. Picasso would be proud of my abstract face art.And let’s not forget the fun of convincing my kids that they’re not turning into ghost superheroes. “Hey kids, guess what? You’re invisible now! Just don’t try sneaking into any secret lairs, okay?”But jokes aside, the best part is that it actually works. I mean, my family and I went out on a sunny day, and we didn’t return looking like we got caught in a powdered sugar explosion. I’m sure it works for some, but not for us!
Both my daughter (1 Yr) and myself have EXTREMELY sensitive skin. What we can use without varying degrees of reactions is extremely limited. We ran out of her “go-to” sunscreen while on a trip and thought we could give this a try as it had a seemingly similar ingredient list, however it did cause a minor reaction and super red skin for her.While it didn’t work for us, I ended up giving the rest to my friend who has two little girls of her own, and she really liked the product. I guess just be aware that this may not be for all skin types!
