I am sensitive to titanium dioxide – especially in medications and supplements. I was very pleased to find an Alreds2 formula with all the recommended amounts of supplements my Opthamologist prescribed without any titanium dioxide.

Similar to AREDS 2 but has half the amount of softgels
I attended a seminar given by physician specialists for macular degeneration because my mother had it. They mentioned that Age-Related Eye Disease Studies (AREDS and AREDS2) found that a combination of vitamins and minerals might slow the progression of dry AMD. AREDS supplements include these ingredients: Vitamin C. Vitamin E. Lutein. Zinc. Copper and Zeaxanthin. So I decided to buy this Nature Made product which appeared to be much less than the AREDS 2 product.NOTE: After I ordered two more this month I realized that there are only 60 softgels in each bottle. The AREDS 2 has 120 softgels in each bottle. In order to compare pricing you need to double the cost for the Nature Made to make a fair comparison.
