I started taking collagen within the last few years after going for years with achy joints and reading about what sorts of things may help alleviate such symptoms. Generally speaking, collagen supplements have seemed to help.One of the things that I like about this particular supplement is, not only the range of collagen types. but the fact that they DON’T load this up with ridiculous amounts of vitamin B and biotin. So many supplements include those things, in absolutely ridiculous amounts. I’m not comfortable taking supplements that contain so much more of any vitamin or compound than is normal or recommended.My point is, I like this particular supplement because it only contains what I want, and little else. And, so far, taking this seems pretty good. Obviously, I’ve been taking other collagen supplements, so it’s not as if this has really made me feel all that different. But it certainly hasn’t made me feel worse, and I haven’t gone back to the achy joints from before I started taking collagen. I haven’t experienced any negative or undesired side-effects as a result of taking this.Overall, so far, this product appears to be effective.

Like the 5 Collagen Types
I got this because I like taking Collagen for the health benefits it may possibly have. My main focus with collagen is with my skin and I use about 12 grams in powder form in the morning for that with a Marine collagen (type 1). I mix it sometimes with Bovine Collagen (type 1 and 3) which I think personally does well for an all around possible collagen benefit. At night however before bed I like taking in capsule form a multi collagen for my joints, soft tissue, hair and nails and eyes too. I think this blend is pretty good for my p.m. collagen regimen. I like the Hydrolyzed Chicken and the Avina Sternum (aka bird breastbone) for type 2 collagen for my joints. I like the eggshell collagen ( type 1 and 10) for my nails and bone health. I do wish however the amounts of each of the collagen types were listed rather than being grouped in a “Premium Collagen Protein Complex”. It could be equal amounts of each type or more of some and less of others. It could be more of the expensive imo type of eggshell collagen and less of the cheaper imo Bovine collagen. With the way it’s listed we don’t know. I do like however with 3 caps its 1200 mgs because I try to get about 1 gram with my before bed collagen I take. I have been taking collagen for over ten years and very happy with what I have noticed. However it is the slowest process I have ever seen personally with the benefits I possibly get. Considering we start losing our natural collagen usually in our late 20s and it takes decades possibly before we might notice, it stands to reason imo that it takes a while to notice possible benefits when supplementing with it. It’s not a miracle worker and probably not gonna do much for deep wrinkles and especially expression lines imo. But for healthy skin, hair and nails,,, I do very much like collagen in my regimen along with oral HA and other skin associated supplements. I see this is lab tested but I am not sure if this is ‘third party’ lab tested. I see this is from a small business which I love to support. I never notice any bad sides taking collagen and this brand included. With the bottle I received I had no quality issues whatsoever. These caps were easy to take and I had no aftertaste. Great Value for the Money, but No Information about Ingredient Sources or Manufacturing Practices
I decided to give this a try as I recently had to have an infected toenail removed and want to ensure the new nail grows back strong and healthy. I read that collagen may help with this, but I will need to take it for the next year to ensure that it works as intended. Since I won’t wait a year to review the product, I will share what I’ve experienced thus far.A week into taking this supplement, I can say that there have been no side effects. Itâs three capsules per day, which isnât a big deal for me but may be for those who hate taking pills. At 3/day a bottle should last 40 days, which means only about 25 cents per dose. It doesn’t irritate my stomach at all, and overall I have no problems taking the supplement as directed on a daily basis.Where the concern arises is when I tried to research the source of the ingredients or the company in general. I was unable to determine where the ingredients were sourced from, and the address on the bottle leads to a random PO box in California. I went to their webpage and tried to dig up as much as I could, but all I found was an ambiguous âUSAâ seal â not âMade in USAâ or anything else, just âUSAâ which means nothing. The bottle states âFormulated in the USAâ but that means someone in the U.S. came up with the ingredient list (the âformulaâ), not that it was prepared or manufactured in the U.S. The original Dr. âBoâ Wagner passed away in 2017, so I assume his name is simply being licensed for the purpose of selling supplements. A little more clarity and transparency about the source of the product ingredients, and more attention to product details and labeling, would go a long way in assuaging my quality and purity concerns regarding this product.That being said, it’s convenient, only costs 25 cents per day, and I’ve had no side effects, so I will finish the container of capsules regardless and continue taking it for a few months to see how my new nail grows out. However, though it is a good value for the money, at this time I can’t recommend these until there is more clarity as to where it is made and the source of the ingredients. It would really give me peace of mind knowing where and how these are sourced and manufactured, as well as their efficacy going forward.
