I am not a perfume enthusiast.. but it wasn’t what I hoped for
Updating my review because today I got “3” compliments regarding how I smelt, I will add a star (making it 4 stars) because I still don’t believe the scent lasts as long as it should..After JUST spraying I got into my car where my kid and husband were waiting. My 8 year old commented on the fragrance and said I smelt good, then husband chimed in.Probably a little less than 2 hours later, after a get together dinner, I was complimented on my faint perfume smell – only after exchanging a hug.Later on in the night upon smelling my wrist I could pick up a slight Jasmin smell, which prior I couldn’t pin point any specific fragrance.Typically I shy for ‘cheaper’ more affordable perfumes. I don’t think I own a perfume over $25 that I specifically picked/purchased, that I did not receive as a gift.That being said, I had heard immaculate reviews about this brand. I have been dying for a scent that actually lasts!Unfortunately this wasn’t it for me. Upon opening the perfume the first spray was nothing but a straight punch in the nose. I decided to try a few more spritz as I was home and not leaving for the day-hoping as maybe it would die down nicely, but I didn’t seem to find that any smell at all had held. Not on my skin or more clothing.Back to the smell when you initially spray it, I found it very pungent. Like if it was something other than say a perfume, you would think it was past its expiration. I like all the intended notes it claims to have but none are the scent I got from this.Again, I have really been searching for a long lasting option as well, so I figured even if I didn’t like THIS scent I could trust the brand enough to find one I did like, but that was not the case either.I have not tried the lotion or the shower gel as I have sort of lost the lust of wanting too…currently it’s more of a dread at this point that I just keep pushing off.I am assuming the fragrance is just not my cup of tea. I am however very pleased with the presentation of the box, items, and the value! I think this could be a fantastic gift option-or for someone like me, a great tester buy! If I was into it I could see myself purchasing this way so I could have and use all 3 items simultaneously.
