What is the difference between muattar, mamoul, and bakhoor?
Muattar consists of oil-soaked wood chips, Mamoul is agarwood powder and oils pressed into disks, and Bakhoor is natural, unfragranced Arabic agarwood incense.
How will I know when the bakhoor is finished?
When the bakhoor stops releasing scent and does not disintegrate even after 3.5 hours of burning, it is time to replace it with a fresh piece.
Can I light the bakhoor directly?
No, bakhoor should not be lit directly as it requires a heat source to release its fragrance. Use a charcoal burner or an electric burner for optimal results.
How long does the bakhoor scent last?
The aroma from our Scent of Arabia Bakhoor typically lasts 3 to 3.5 hours when used with our Maison d’Orient oud bukhoor burner.
Can I burn bakhoor on charcoal?

Our bukhoor oudh is unisex, however when it comes to layering, we recommend using it before applying amber oud perfume for men, and soft oud perfume for women.
Can I burn bakhoor using the same hookah coals?
Yes, just make sure the type of hookah charcoal you are using does not generate a smell or additional smoke when you burn it as that will mix with the smell of our bakhoor.

I bought this product and thought why not try it out. I figured it might be a little to much flavor or the smell might not be for me but then upon arrival… Amazing product for the style of the box and what it came in I loved the glass container. Flavor and smell of this product was PERFECT I would recommend to people just give it a try… I know the price is a bit high but the quality is there 5 Stars worth it.Flavor – Royal Gold

Great product, however….
I have bought many times from this company. It is a great product. The smell is amazing. However, they raised the price now two times. This time it is no longer worth it. There is not enough to cost that much. If the price goes back down, I will buy again (I use about one or two jars per month, and four jars of the muatter patchouli which has also increased in price). If they do not decrease the price, it is no longer worth it, and they have lost a valuable customer. The smell and quality are Great. But simply not worth the price for the quantity. Decrease the price and I will change this review, and you will get your customers back.

Scents are way different when lit an I was sent THE WRONG SCENT
So far I have purchased 4 different scents to try. I was sent the wrong scent the first time, which is disappointing. They smell ok in the jar but once you light them to smoke they change. Most of them stink, I will be looking for a higher quality because these aren’t it. Also had to rewrite my review because it keeps getting taken down.

If you like incense, this takes it to a higher level. I absolutely love this brand. They spare no expense with packaging and product presentation.The smell of the Amber is phenomenal! I love how it burns and the way it makes a room smell. They burn ling enough to give a quick room refresh.I enjoy the reminder of a recent trip to Dubai and Qatar.Definitely a must have

Absolute 10/10 PLEASE RESTOCK*March 1st, 2025âEdit: I ordered a second time, and this time the wood was MUCH more dry (had alot less resin/fragrance on the woodchips) and it was apparant both visually and through the smell/burn. It burns through alot quicker and it does not have as much of the fragrance before it turns to the wood notes it ends with.Ill deff order again, and hope that maybe this one jar was a fluke.. but idk, it kinda sucks paying like that and recieving an inconsistant product..Especially now that the price jumped by like $10(CAD) (was like $25-$26âCAD which is reasonable, to now, it was like $35 or something..)Edit #2: i ordered again and yeah, same issue, the wood seems to be much less soaked than before and turns into that burnt wood smell way quicker than before..
