I love this lipstick. Itâs my go to. I wear it every single day. It looks good for work casual occasions or an evening out, it lasts a long time it moisturizes your lips and looks fabulous and the price is great too!

Cooler, greige-brown. Dehydrating formula.
This is not a bad color or a bad formula, but it is Very Disappointing (which I should be accustomed to with Milani lipstick). For one, I find the Milani lipsticks on a the drier, dehydrating side of lipsticks. I’ve heard others describe them in more hydrating terms, but that has NOT been my experience. While not excessively dehydrating, these are very far from hydrating. While I do not enjoy that, I wasn’t surprised as this is on par with other Milani lipsticks I own, and I do consider the texture wearable.My biggest disappointment was the color. It is not as pictured or expected, and I begin to feel that many of the colors from this line favor cooler skin tones. They rarely seem to flatter me. While Milani lipsticks have a tendency to swatch and wear exactly as they look, I was judging by a photo and a memory of seeing it in store, and the photo of this color is not wholely accurate. The best way I can describe this look on my lip is to say it looks grey. Pairing it with a more colorful lip liner changes the affect and makes it wearable, but the stand alone result was a little corpse like—and not just in the “it’s a nude lipstick and not everyone can do nude lipstick.” It has a grey undertone that is unflattering.Also, my lipstick arrived nicked and just beginning to melt. I honestly meant to contact Amazon about a return, but I sort of forgot, so I decided to try it.You live and learn, I suppose, but I regret my color choice.

Gorgeous, creamy, fabulous!
This is my first Milani lipstick, and I’m definitely a fan now!I ordered this because I basically have no makeup, and while I live in Haiti where I sweat off most makeup, I like wearing lipstick which tends to stay put better, and which gives me a finished look even when I’m hot and sweaty (nice visual, I know).So I’m crazy about purple and had the genius idea to google “best drugstore purple lipstick.” This one showed up on a couple of lists. And so I picked another one that is much more blue in the undertones, and this.This color (Uptown Mauve) is more fuschia than purple, and that’s a good thing, I think. It goes on really great. Creamy, and smells nice. It’s super well pigmented, so you need to have a steady hand. I had the genius idea of applying it in the car after we picked it up from the place we had it shipped to. There’s no hiding a shaky hand with this color! Those who are wiser than I might do well to invest in a coordinating pencil or lip brush.Now the color. Oh goodness me! I didn’t know how great this would look on me! I’m well tanned with dark (graying) hair and dark eyes. I also have full lips, and this is such a gorgeous GORGEOUS color on me! It actually looks perfect as the only stitch of makeup on an otherwise bare face, which is the way I’ll tend to wear it much of the time. Maybe a bit of mascara. I think I actually prefer this to a red lip, or maybe I need to invest in more of a berry-red. It’s classy, and it makes me look “expensive” even when I’m not trying.I’m checking out the other colors as we type!
