    Very interesting…..
Today, is my first time trying it. I know that many don’t like the smell at all, but the smell is a bit smelly, not that strong the smell, just a bit. I’m fine with it. I even let my family smell my hair and they said it doesn’t smell. But I’ll update and see how my hair turns out.Update! 6/16/2023Wow, all the dandruff shampoos I’ve bought and it did not help at all, but this!! It has been working! I’ve told my family to smell my hair, or if I have dandruff they said it doesn’t smell and did not have dandruff. Also, it makes my hair soft.Update: July 5I was struggling so much with Dandruff, finally this shampoo has been helping me so much that there’s hardly flakes on my hair. FYI, my hair is dry, so I use a none toxic conditioner thats hydrating for my hair. I’m loving it!!Ps. My hair is very long past my buttocks. Love my long hair, but it’s a hassle with dandruff. It’s genetic, what can I say?

Good product, smells kind of funky.
The shampoo seems to be helping with dry scalp but you can definitely smell the tar when you’re shampooing. Doesn’t seem to linger after your hair dries but it is a strong, pungent scent. Since that’s the main ingredient (and what helps with dry scalp) so what do you do?

    Perfect shampoo
This is the best anti dandruff shampoo ever. It’s affordable and I have sebboric dermatitis, which is a nightmare, and this has helped me so much. I lather it well into the scalp and scrub areas where I have felt itchy or the feeling of oil buildup in my hair and it effectively removes the oil and cleanses the scalp thoroughly. I use this 2-3x a week . It does dry the hair but make sure to use conditioner to ensure your hair stays healthy and moisturized.

    Highly effective but smells TERRIBLE
I seem to have inherited my dad’s bad dermatitis and it’s only gotten worse lately. Usually, antidandruff shampoo use mixed with regular shampoo for a week or two gets rid of my flakes. But, for the past several months I’ve noticed whole patches of dead skin peeling off my scalp (in the front where I can see it, not sure if it’s all over but doesn’t seem to be). My dad had this in his shower so I gave it a try. Smells horrible!!! I even mixed it with Jupiter Dandruff Shampoo (just bought that, it’s pricey, not sure if it’s effective yet) and it smelled HORRIBLE. I did scrub it into my scalp and allow it to sit for a few minutes. Felt some tingles. I used my pricey hair mask after (never on scalp) because I could tell it stripped my hair. I have long, bleached hair which is actually very healthy and shiny. My hair felt crunchy after using this even after letting my pricey hair mask sit for several minutes. Still smelled horrible too. I just washed my hair again today, 2 days after 1st use, and as soon as I wet my hair I could smell this from my scalp from the last wash!! I washed with my pricey, good smelling shampoo, still smelled this crap after rinsing!! Used my hood hair mask, rinsed, out of the shower and my wet hair still smells like this!!! It’s awful!!!! Only upside is my scaly dead skin patches are completely gone. A few residual flakes only. So, it does work. But I’ll stick to my regular on/off use of high quality, good smelling dandruff shampoo because I HATE how this smells and makes my hair feel.

I wish I had taken a before picture! This stuff is life changing.
I have suffered with scalp psoriasis for my whole adult life. In the last 5 years it has been it’s worst. It used to be just a nickel sized spot, but then it grew and grew until it literally covered the entire back half of my head, from ear to ear and including behind my ears and inside my ears. My scalp was not only covered in silver scale, it was also red and inflamed like a bad sunburn and itchy and my shoulders were always covered in flakes. It was bad, I scratched my head constantly.I tried everything, every product sold here on Amazon, everything at local stores, every diet, every topical, every shampoo, every holistic oil ..everything. I ended up having to shave my head because my hair was so fragile and falling out and breaking from all the crap I had tried. I basically gave up, since most things did nothing and some even made the problem worse. I resigned myself to the fact that my head was always going to be this way, it was always going to hurt, it was always going to look disgusting. I gave up.Then one day, about 6 months ago, I noticed this shampoo. It was something I had not tried, it seemed to be new and it was reasonably priced, while some things I had bought previously were outrageously expensive. So, I took a shot and ordered it.What it has done for me is life changing. In the very first wash, I could feel something was very different about this shampoo. Not only did it clear the scale, it also seemed to calm my inflamed scalp. I used it every day for a week and the flakes on my shoulders were gone, my head was healing, it was remarkable. It does not leave any residue on me and it does not leave a lingering smell and, to be honest, it is not nearly as smelly as some other things I had tried, in fact, I don’t think it smells bad at all. After about a month I started using it every other day and now, 6 months later, I use it maybe twice a week, just when I start to feel a little “dusty”. I have also tried using it on other plaques, the spots behind my ears and a large one on my lower back. It seems to help a little, but not in the same dramatic way it worked on my scalp.I also want to note that I am not on any other sort of psoriasis medication. It is not something else that cleared my scalp, it is 100% this shampoo. I really wish I had taken a before picture, back when my head was red and raw and covered in scale, so I could show you how different is now. My hair even grew back.

    New Formula still EFFECTIVE.
So I will say this…They have changed the formula..The consistency used to be much thicker and the smell was alot stronger. Now it’s more runny and has the same smell with a dash of something else. Regardless, I used to have really bad dermatitis on my scalp, around my nose area, lips and chin. It works on your face as well! This stuff has changed my life..and gave me my confidence back!
