Surprisingly good!
We just redid the floors up stairs entirely DIY, all on our own. It sucked, by the way.We bought some tools and stuff at Home Depot and it was going SO slowly and poorly, so much effort. I did some research and found this TYPE of tapping block is better and bought the set because we had a tight timeline and it could be delivered by the next morning. We proceeded to use these tools almost exclusively to install about 1500 sq feet of flooring and theyâre a lifesaver. All of them are still in good condition and we plan to lend them to a friend doing the same thing. The only thing that was sometimes an issue is that the pull bar is REALLY thick for a DIYer so sometimes it didnât fit super comfortably where we needed it and we had to use our little crappy Home Depot one.The shims were totally useless, but I suspect that has more to do with some oddities around our house. No matter how many we tried to put in it really wasnât stopping the flooring from moving too close to the walls, but itâs a 70s home with some funkiness like an unusually high gap and the floors were thin so I think they had an uphill battle.

Good tools for the DIY
Good set of tools for laying your own LVP. I have a 1,000 sq feet I’m doing and been using these for awhile and they are great for DIY.

Laying vinyl plank? Order these tools now!
I realized late that I should have these tools to lay the floor. I ordered them in the late afternoon and had them the next morning before 8 AM. Just in time. The tapper is plenty heavy, the puller is strong and can take a beating. I would have spent many more hours on the floor without them. A great product at a reasonable price. BTW, I did not damage a plank using the tapper or puller.

Good set for beginner.
This is my first time doing laminate flooring by myself. I don’t understand why the spacers exist… they just seem to fall over and be pointless as far as I can tell from watching installers’ videos. That said, the other pieces are high quality and very useful! The heavy pull bar specifically is awesome!

Easy five stars
I have been laying vinyl plank flooing in basement. I struggled in the first room getting the planks tightly connected, so I ordered this. The tapping block is great. It is heaving enough that you don’t need to hammer it. Just hold one end against the plank and pivot the other end to tap the plank. It is heavy enough to provide a little nudge with each tap, and long enough not to break the vinyl edge as it taps. I can see, even planks that look tight snug up even tighter with a few taps. After the plank is in lengthwise, I can put the block on the end of the plank, and tap the block with a hammer to tighten up the seam between planks on the small end.The bar is very heavy duty, and works well to allow for tapping planks together when the one being installed is up against a wall. The hammer is light but would work ok. I had a heavier rubber mallet that I use.

Bought for a small flooring job doing vinyl planks. Works as advertised and I plan to use it again.

Very useful tools
These flooring tools made the install much easier. The tapping block works great. But the odd looking steel tool really was the star of the show for installation of the floor. Toss the orange plastic wedge in the landfill, they are useless. Overall a must have set of tools.

Strong and study set of tools
Very strong and sturdy set of tools for laying laminate of LVP flooring. I just used them to lay 1500 sq. ft. of LVP and they worked very well. Would highly recommend them.

This is an amazing kit for the price and quality. Alot of these kits come with flimsy/light but I was very surprised with the quality. My only concern would be that you might need a lighter pry bar for very tight areas.

the block is substantial and heavy and makes floor installation much easier
