Iâve been using the shampoo for about 3-to 4 weeks now. I love how it makes my hair feel! The smell is very nice but at the same time not overpowering which I like, and a little bit goes a long way. The shampoo lathers well and you donât need a lot. After using it on my hair, it gives a soothing sensation to my scalp. I see less scalp dryness since Iâve started using the shampoo. I have been looking for a shampoo for a long time that would effectively deal with dandruff without drying out my hair and scalp. Jupiter Anti Dandruff Shampoo was a real discovery!
It really works. After a couple of uses, the itching has noticeably decreased, and the amount of flaking has decreased. I have combination (oily) skin, and this shampoo copes with the balance perfectly.
The absence of sulfates and parabens is a big plus. The shampoo does not wash out the color and leaves the hair soft and silky.
Zinc Pyrithione in the composition gently eliminates dandruff without aggressively affecting the skin.
The smell is unobtrusive, but fresh. After use, you feel clean, without a feeling of heaviness or overdrying.

Not for me. Needed to use too much product in one application for value.
I was really looking forward to using this shampoo as I have colored my hair recently and struggle with dry/itchy scalp issues that are related to having dandruff.
I have fine wavy/curly hair and an average sized woman’s head so I started with a silver dollar size amount. This product is VERY concentrated so I figured that a little went a long way. I did as directed and got my hair wet, rubbed the shampoo between my hands, and applied to may hair. I ended up having to apply a silver dollar size amount to my hand multiple times in order to have my entire scalp covered enough to massage product into my hair and scalp.
The first use was after not washing my hair for 72 hours (I did not have any hair products on my hair, just the regular sebum build up) so I figured that was the reason I needed to use more. The second time I used the product I only went 48 hours without washing and had the same results with needing to use multiple gobs of shampoo to get my entire head covered. The third application was done 24 hours later in hopes that I would just need to use the product daily to keep my dandruff at bay and be able to use less product per wash, but no such luck was had. I even applied the silver dollar sized amount to my hand, rubbed my hands together, and then patted my head all over before trying to massage into my hair and scalp. All of this to say that no matter what I tried, I needed the same ridiculous amount of shampoo to get the full lather.
I did leave the product on for 2-3 minutes as directed the first time, but I found that it felt like my scalp was a bit itchy afterwards. My scalp wasn’t dry or flaky, it just seemed as though leaving the product on irritated my scalp. Note: I have been using other 1% Pyrithione Zinc (ZPT) and letting it sit 2-3 minutes to allow it to tread my scalp, but I haven’t ever struggled with my scalp itching afterwards. I have also used shampoo with coconut oil and algae extract so its possible that a lesser ingredient was the cause.
I did not have any issues with my scalp being flaky like I would have had with regular color safe shampoo (without dandruff treatment), but I did ultimately decide that this product isn’t for me as I don’t want to be using a bottle of $25 shampoo monthly. I considered diluting the product, but its not formulated to be diluted and I don’t want the extra work prepping a medium to high end shampoo for daily use.
I gave three stars as the product is color safe and did control my dandruff, but beings there was so much product needed per wash, it just wasn’t efficient enough to earn more stars, in my opinion.
