Customers say
Customers appreciate the toothpaste’s fluoride content and lack of SLS, titanium dioxide, and carrageenan. They also like the quality. However, some customers find the consistency too runny and have mixed opinions on taste, whitening effect, value for money, and overall toothpaste quality.

good replacement for Powersmile gel
I like this toothpaste! As others have mentioned, I was disappointed when Jason discontinued the Powersmile tea tree oil and cinnamon gel. Thus began my search for a non-mint toothpaste option with fluoride- there are hardly any others out there. I was so glad to find this: the flavor is good, it has fluoride, the price is good. It is paste vs. the previous product’s gel, but that has not turned out to be any issue at all. Recommended.

Recommend
This Jason toothpaste was recommended tonme because it does not have sodium lauryl sulfates in it. I’m really pleased, my skin around my mouth has healed. The taste is great, refreshing without being powerful and not gritty as some natural toothpastes are. My teeth feel clean, my breath smells good. I’m very happy with this toothpaste and the price was mostly reasonable. I can’t I’ve noticed any whitening effect but I’m not using it for that reason anyways.

Not carcinogenic — just disgusting
I love cinnamon toothpastes and I’ve had several, from Tom’s to Crest to Xyli-white and finally, Close-Up.Without a doubt, this is THE most disgusting cinnamon toothpaste (or any toothpaste) I’ve ever had. Which is a bummer because I normally buy toothpastes in multipacks, because, again, I’ve never had a bad toothpaste. But now I’ve learned I’ve got to be wary. At least this one came solo so I don’t have to suffer through multiple tubes.I saw another review claiming it “contains carcinogens”, and the ingredient they named is one that has had inconclusive studies showing that it might have had a carcinogenic effect on some animals, and that there could conceivably be a limited risk if humans were inhaling it in large quantities of raw powder form. Which is about as far as something can possibly be from being a health risk while still having some kernel of truth to the claim….So let it be known: you should not separate out the ingredients of vast quantities of this toothpaste, condense them, dehydrate them, and then inhale that.Otherwise, all this is moot because the product itself tastes like hospitals smell and it’s disgusting, so don’t buy it for that reason — not because you think it’s cancer-causing.

Mislabeled – Not cinnamon!
The overwhelming taste is CLOVE. The first second or two, you can taste cinnamon, but then itâs all clove. The stuff tastes pretty good once you get used to it, but itâs *not* at all cinnamon. I do like that itâs a mostly natural toothpaste with fluoride since we donât have fluoridated water here, and yes, it really does matter to get some.

Great toothpaste
Toothpaste with a fresh minty taste that is easy on the gums i.e. doesn’t have that burning sensation that the popular brands seem to currently have.

Not like the original Powersmile Peppermint
For some reason Jason has discontinued their original Powersmile Peppermint toothpaste. I thought this might just be new packaging but it’s completely different. The peppermint is not as strong and there is another taste in there that I cannot identify. The consistency is also different, much more fluid. I could deal with the consistency but not the new taste. Will not purchase again. I wish Jason would bring back the original formula. It was very popular.

I like it
I read a lot of reviews on different toothpastes. I wanted a cinnamon, SLS free, with fluoride toothpaste and this one was one of the very few I found. It was also the most affordable. People said that the flavor was weird compared to the old formula, but being a person who never tried the old one before I think itâs just right and expect Iâll get it again when itâs time to buy more.
