The directions suggest taking this before bed at night; I know that collagen supplements in any form (tablet, capsule, liquid) tend to do best on an empty stomach and away from eating, so that the digestion juices in one’s stomach don’t deactivate its “super powers.”This particular type of collagen UC-II, has some interesting clinical research behind it for joint health; as a former and intense athlete, this really means something to me. I am still quite active and have changed many aspects of my lifestyle, most especially my diet (WFPB) and am in better shape and with more balanced, targeted strength than in the previous decade! So, yes, this supplement is part of a lifestyle and is NOT a silver bullet fix-it-all-with-a-pill sort of “answer.”That being said, I think it can be a very helpful addition/input to your health and strength routine. Also, this specific brand is consistently accurate with all of its offerings when it comes to labeling and quality. This brand’s UC-II, which is what I’m reviewing here, was selected as a “Top Pick” by an independent testing lab and has maintained that distinction for some time now. I believe that it has helped my joints tremendously over the past four or five years of taking it every night. To be honest, there is no cloned-me to compare (as if I had a reference for NOT taking it) but given the aftermath pain I used to have, and the trouble with working out or exercising or recreating at a certain intensity in past years… I truly think this has helped a ton.As long as they continue making it? Affordable for my Dog
I bought this for my german shepard dog to replace perscription Flexadin. It has the same ingredient as Flexadin without other stuff that might not be good for dogs. I spent hours researching cost effective UCâ¢II chicken cartiledge because my vet was charging alot more than Amazon. I put 1 capsule in my dogs wet food each morning and it’s helping her.

I have been taking UC-II for 2-3 years now and it’s a much effective supplement than Glucosamine. I practice Japanese martial arts for years and kneeling or jumping up from a kneeling position etc. is a common feature of the art. I can tell and feel the difference in my knees in terms of ‘less tightness and discomfort’. UC-II also improves my knees’ flexibility somewhat.
