Customers say

Customers find the shoe inserts effective for pain relief and preventing foot pain. They say it’s worth trying out for the low price. However, some customers report issues with adhesion and value for money. The adhesive doesn’t stick well to cloth-lined soles, and the original adhesive doesn’t last a full day. There are mixed opinions on comfort, fit, and durability.

    Cured my metatarsalgia!!
After overdoing treadmill and elliptical machine in my old running shoes, I began having metatarsal pain in my left foot. It got to the point where even wearing cushioned slippers was not enough to prevent the pain. At first I used gel cushions under the ball of my foot, which seemed to help but these things were what really did the trick!!I was skeptical, not really thinking that wearing a cushion behind the area I was experiencing the pain would help… but I was so wrong!!These things allowed me to continue moderate cardio as i healed, and after a couple weeks all pain was gone even without the inserts!!Be sure you place them in the correct position behind the ball of your foot but before your arch. They DO NOT go underneath the ball of your foot like a cushion! They work by spreading your toe bones out and need to go just behind the ball of your foot. I also use arch support inserts and stuck these babies onto the end of them so I was able to wear both my heel/arch support insert and these things at the same time.In the beginning they do take some practice to get into the right position and then getting them to stay while you put your foot into the shoe. I loosened my laces all the way so I could be sure I placed them in the right position. Then I very carefully slid my feet in while holding onto the pad under my foot. I stood and tied my laces. I never had them move around as I wore them, whether I was jogging or doing the elliptical, etc.The first few times they did want to scoot around as I took my shoes on and off so I would reposition it and hold it in place when putting my feet in. But the more I wore them the more they stuck. After a few times, they stayed in place on their own but I can still take them out if I want.Whatever the bottom stuff is, it doesn’t feel very sticky, but it works.Love these things!!! Just read the directions and watch a YouTube video if necessary to ensure you wear them correctly and to see tips!

Terrible product- hard to position and does not stay in place
I had higher expectations from Dr. Scholls than this. I ordered some felt sticky pads also and they work a lot better. These just slip in the shoes and are too high so it hurts more.

    Working for me
I saw a lot of the complaints were about it not sticking well. I removed my insole and stuck it to the inside of the boot. Then put the insole back. It’s not moving on me so far.Edit: my first attempt wasn’t successful. I had trouble finding the right placement. However, sticking them to the bottom of the insole and standing on it while also simulating taking a step worked much better.

    “Shifty proposition”
It’s virtually impossible to know how to position these and they shift around potentially defeating their intended purpose. They’re definitely not great for active (runners) use given their inability to adequately adhere to the shoe insoles.

These work for ball of foot pain
I was limping badly from pain in the ball of my right foot when I spotted these in a local store. I bought a pair of these and after using them for a day, the pain was gone. My local pharmacy has stopped stocking these so I buy them through Amazon. The most difficult part is getting these positioned in exactly the right spot in my hiking shoe. With my hand and the pad both in the hiking shoe, I can’t see what I am doing and so have to go completely by feel. It took a few tries to get it right, but when positioned correctly it works to relieve my foot pain. The pad tends to move when removing my shoe, and so most mornings I have to reposition it. This pad puts pressure on a spot just behind the ball of your foot, and so at first it is uncomfortable, but after wearing it a little while I don’t notice that and the pain in the ball of my foot is gone.

Not worth it. Adhesive doesn’t last.
The reason why I’m not giving these one star is because they are comfortable in my shoes, but I wasn’t able to wear them even once before they lost adhesion.

    Sweet Metatarsal Pads
I purchased a pair of Sketcher’s athletic shoes and a pair of Sketcher’s Massage Fit sandals as I believe they have the best comfortable support for my feet. I inserted my orthotics in the athletic shoes and I stuck Dr. Scholl’s metatarsal pad in my sandals just below the ball of my foot. After several days of walking in both shoes, I realized that my left foot which had a swollen nerve did not hurt anymore and my right foot and heel pain had greatly diminished. The metatarsal pad does as it is supposed to in relieving the pressure from the ball of my foot and that makes me happy so I can get back on my feet and back to my active life. My foot doctor told me that a lot of advertisements show the wrong position in wearing the met pad and advised me of the correct position, which is directly below the ball of the foot; not on the ball of the foot. I will add a photo in the next couple of days showing the met pads in my Sketchers sandals.

I’ve been putting up with terrible pain in my feet for months now. I have always had flat feet. Some people only have no longitudinal arch. I also don’t have the transverse arch – never have. And now I’ve developed bunions because of this. I saw these and thought I’d give it a try before having to invest in orthotics. The problem with orthotics is that I work from home and so very seldom wear shoes (I know lucky me-not as much as you’d think). So I thought I’d actually tape these on the bottoms of my feet for around the house. Voila! My feet felt better within days. So now I’ve ordered more to actually stick in my shoes.

Googlen “where to place metatarsal pads”. Si las recomiendo.
