Good Toothpaste from a Trusted Brand
Colgate has been the preferred brand of toothpaste for my family for many years. We prefer the original mint paste over any other varieties. I also have sensitive teeth and alternate with using a toothpaste designed for that. As I get older, I worry more about my gums and I was happy to see that this variety of the original paste we like also offers advanced gum protection, while still keeping that fresh mint flavor and clean feeling I just donât seem to get with other brands and varieties of toothpaste.

Great toothpaste!
I really like this toothpaste because it leaves my mouth feeling fresh and clean, with a nice minty sensation. It offers gum protection and whitening benefits, which Iâve started to notice after using it for a while. It does feel more refreshing than other toothpastes I’ve tried, and I appreciate that it’s SLS-free, which makes it gentler on my sensitive teeth. The size is also on the smaller side, though it would be great for travel. Overall, it’s a great option for my morning routine.

Noticeable difference in cleanliness of teeth but Iâm not sure why
This has a noticeable difference in my mouth. In the morning my mouth feels fresher than when I use my other toothpaste.But, I am not sure why. The only active ingredient listed is fluoride, but that is in my other toothpaste. I was so curious as to what gives this the claim to be antibacterial that I called the number on the back of the box but they did not know. The representative I talked to said she would have someone email me but I never heard anything. I couldnât find anything in the ingredients listed that would make it antibacterial.I do like the toothpaste and I ordered another tube but I do wish they would indicate what makes this antibacterial.

Good size for travel
I like this toothpaste as it’s anti-gingivitis which is what I need and anti-sensitivity which is what my partner needs. The size is 3 oz so it fits the TSA travel regulation size, and we can just bring one tube of toothpaste when we travel for the both of us. I get that this is a more premium formula toothpaste, but I do wish it was at a lower price point for the small amount. Otherwise, I like this formula of toothpaste.

Great toothpaste!
This toothpaste feels great when brushing as instructed on the package. The brand is well known and does a good job cleaning my teeth. I like that it has a minty feel after using the product, the toothpaste cleans well and I felt it leaves a small shield to protect my teeth. I have yet to see the whitening effect but i’m sure it takes time. Overall great toothpaste to try from a well known brand!

small, artificial sweetener taste
I wasn’t a fan of this toothpaste. It has a nice mint flavor, but the artificial sweeteners in this have a gross aftertaste that is really unpleasant. I do like that this has no sls in it though. I also feel that the tube is small for the price and not the best value. I would not buy this again.

This Colgate Total Active Prevention Gum Protect Whitening Toothpaste is truly amazing for people with sensitive gums or need something extra to help with your gum health. It works just as great as any of their other products and the flavor is perfect. Not gross like some other gum health toothpastes. Truly a great addition to their line of products and great for any age to use!
