My favorite shampoo
I’ve been looking for a natural (SLS-free) anti-dandruff shampoo that has a decent woody scent for a while.Scent: I specifically didn’t want a tea tree-scented shampoo, because all of the natural dandruff shampoos smell like that and I think it smells very medicinal, not something I want to smell like all the time. But I like this shampoo anyway, because the dominant smell is cedar. (I wish they made one with just cedar without tea tree, though!)Hair: Shampoo is great. It lathers and leaves my hair feeling clean and not covered in chemicals. Not puffy or scratchy. I could probably skip conditioning even. Nice middle-of-the-road shampoo.Dandruff relief: Similar to other shampoos, lasts about a day. I find I need to shampoo every other day to keep the effect. I wish it lasted a bit longer but this seems normal for anti-dandruff shampoos. It does provide immediate relief.

This stuff is awesome and works exactly as advertised!
I have a really bad outbreak of seborrheic dermatitis that Iâve been trying to recover from for almost a year now. To make matters worse, my incredibly sensitive scalp also has an allergic reaction to any oil except tea tree oil. I have parts of my crown that are thinning and patchy because of how bad this recent flare up has been, and this shampoo is the only saving grace for me. Iâve only been usingnit every two to three days for the last week, and my scalp already looks better. Iâll post some before / after pictures after about a month to show improvement, but right now I can already tell the difference. My scalp isnât smelling like a âsickâ scalp anymore (I have an extremely acute sense of smell), and itâs starting to get rid of the overgrowth of fungus. Itâs even starting to stop itching when my hair dries. It used to always be itchy unless I had just washed it. They werenât lying when they said pH balancing; I can literally feel it balancing the overgrowth of fungi on my skin, and itâs awesome. Not to mention itâs hydrating enough for my hair to use alone without shampoo (Iâm black and have afro textured hair that is currently in locs), which is saying something since my hair is usually dry prone. Iâm pretty sure Iâm gonna be ordering this shampoo until it goes off the market. ð 10/10 would buy AND suggest to someone else. Iâll leave another review once my mom uses it. She has pretty intense dandruff, with flakes that can be anywhere from 1/8 to 1/4 of a centimeter. ðð½ðð½ðð½

It works and smells great.
Purchased for son who has never ending flaky, irritated scalp. He has sensitive skin/scalp. This shampoo has not irritated the scalp and has greatly helped with the flaking. No more oozing red irritated spots. He must shampoo every two days to keep the flakes under control. He says this shampoo doesn’t make his hair frizzy like other dandruff shampoos have. His hair is easier to take care of now. He has used other dandruff shampoos -some irritate the scalp, smell bad, leave the hair greasy or frizzy, or just don’t work-some have worked okay. Maple holistics cedarwood seems to be working the best so far. Seems pricey but it’s working well.

Finally a product that does what it actually says it will do!
I have always used Head and Shoulders for my dandruff, but have been quite disappointed the last few years with every bottle combined with the cream rinse. I happened upon the Cedarwood Dandruff Shampoo somewhat by accident when I was looking for products that help re-grow hair. I have FMS and my hair is thinning. In Oct. 2019 I received my bottle. Only need to use a little and only lather once. My hair is very clean and manageable, my waves and slight curls are not weighed down like before with products containing the cream rinse. The added plus is the re-growth of multiple hairs/new hairs that are now between one and two inches long in just a month’s time! I am very happy with this product and have recommended it to the FMS group on facebook. In one month, with shoulder length hair, I’ve only used about half of a bottle, so it is long lasting, you only need to use a little bit for each shampoo. I can, and have, highly recommended this shampoo. It’s a good buy, a good product and does like is says, not one single flake of dandruff with an added plus of re-growing hair! Wish I could give 10 stars!!

Itâs shampoo, not conditioner
Advertising seems misleading. I thought I was buying conditioner and discovered it was shampoo upon arrival. Smells good and washes well but canât tell the overall effectiveness after a few weeks of use. Still is better than the heavy chemical commercial shampoos. I donât mind using it.

Great dandruff/thickening shampoo
Really nice shampoo. It has a fine, almost creamy lather, with little product that gives the feeling of cleaning hair and scalp without stripping. I have been using this shampoo 1-2x a week since I bought it. My scalp has improved, less itching, less dandruff and less oiliness at and under the scalp. I try not to over-use shampoos for dandruff because I find it can be counter-productive. My hair does feel thicker but I bought it for the scalp healing properties. While using shampooing it definitely has a woody/cedar smell that is nice but dissipates quickly. I will buy again and would recommend.

Genuine product and fulfilled my expectations
I do not ever have time to write reviews, however, the cedar shampoo is just what I wanted. I had just finished a dermatologist prescription shampoo and I looked carefully for a shampoo to start using. The cedar shampoo smells wonderful to me because I like clean spelling and not perfume laden products. I also love the smell of cedar and much of the wood in my house is cedar. I guess one should make sure they like the smell of cedar because this shampoo genuinely smells like cedar. Also it makes my hair feel clean and light. It does not have a heavy residue of any kind. I live on a homestead and use cedar as a natural repellent to any insects in my house or green house.I think this shampoo is healthy for my hair, makes me feel clean like nature, and is as good as any very expensive salon shampoo I have used. I have very fine hair so I cannot speak for other types of hair.
