I normally donât retire reviews but our whole family had flakey hair this winter. It was super cold and weâve used central heat more than usual. I know SLS free and chemical free shampoo is best to reduce dandruff. But I had not seen a non chemical anti dandruff shampoo until this. The shampoo and conditioner separately had better reviews so I ordered these instead of the 2-in-one. AM I GLAD I DID! I keep touching my hair because it is so soft and healthy â much better than I would expect from an anti dandruff shampoo. And with CeraViâs quality skin care Iâm so glad we are adding this to our bath routines for our sensitive scalps. Worth the money â flakes gone, hair shiny and soft, and smells fantastic!

My hair never looked better
I love this hair conditioner and my scalp & hair never felt or looked better and ALL without any frangrance. Clean smells like “nothing” & this product makes me smell really clean, like nothing. I use it after I wash my hair with “Dermaharmony 2% Pyrithione Zinc Shampoo Bar for dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis” which is a bar shampoo with NO fragrances. I have TILT (toxicant induced loss of tolerance) & I cannot take the stinky smell of “perfume, fragrances or scented” products. Per my doctors, about 1/3 the population have some form of TILT. Netflix runs a docuseries called “STINK” regarding this & you can go to tiltresearch.org for more information. I love CeraVe & I use other products of theirs because there is no perfume or fragrances in their products. My Dermatologist recommends CeraVe. CeraVe delivers from skincare to hair
I stumbled upon this CeraVe conditioner when reordering their facial cleanser, and saw it was a new product in pre-release. I chose to try it out since I am a huge fan of their skincare products. It ended up shipping ahead of schedule and arrived in tact (no leaks) as you’d hope. Coincidentally I started seeing commercials for it a couple of days later.I have fairly short hair (undercut) and don’t have a ton of dandruff normally, but it does pop up from time to time living in a dry climate. I’m loving adding this to my daily routine. It is silky but not greasy and leaves my hair feeling smooth and nourished all day long, even if I add product to it later. I’ve only used it about a week but would buy it again, so far.

Iâm a coily girl here. Iâm not going to hype it up so Iâm going to give you the facts1. Smooth hair Cuticles2. Doesnât leave nasty stuff behind3. Will sadly burn your eyes ngl4. Even my tough âlow porosityâ areas were hydrated.5. Doesnât have perfume or nothing so no headaches or irritation.6. Has some slip but not a whole lot so itâs not for detangling matted hair I donât think.7. Will do a BETTER job than any oil or deep conditioner you put on your head.Give it a shot! Best for mild dandruff sufferers
Finally, an anti-dandruff conditioner â not a shampoo and not a 2-in-1 like most on the market. However, in terms of effectiveness when used on its own, it does help with mild dandruff (not moderate or heavy) and some itchiness (wore off half a day later). Iâd imagine when paired with CeraVeâs anti-dandruff shampoo from the same line, itâd work well on heavier dandruff.The conditioner actually has an interesting texture/feel to it, not like other conditioners and more like a lotion, and it did a nice job hydrating and wasnât harsh on my hair, even when applied to the roots. A huge bonus is that itâs free of sulfates, parabens, dyes and fragrances. Because itâs free of fragrances, which doesnât necessarily mean itâs scent-free, my sensitive nose didnât detect any scent, either, especially for an anti-dandruff treatment, which some can have a very strong/overwhelming chemical smell. The bottle is also pretty large and good value for the price.

scentless and thick conditioner for itchy scalp
Year ago I used CeraVe products for some hormonal driven breakouts and I’ve been a fan of their products ever since so I was excited to see that they’re trying to tackle dandruff too. When I get stressed my scalp gets dry and the base of my head itches, and this took care of the itch with first wash which is awesome. I don’t currently have flakes so I can’t speak to that issue at the moment and hopefully I never do using this product. It’s actually, oddly, really not scented. I felt like I had a cold or something because I kept sniffing and sniffing and couldn’t detect the slightest thing, which is really odd because you can usually pick up something, but I couldn’t….so if you have scent issues give this a try for sure. Also, happy to say, the conditioning on the product is top notch and it helped me untangle my winter tangled fine waist long hair.
