I like this and it’s a very soothing aroma, but when I opened the box the label has a cut mark or slash on it. I wanted to display this next to my nice perfume bottles etc. but the label is damaged which affects the look.

Surprising delightful
I’ll be honest. I was fully prepared to have been disappointed, buying a scented oil online at what is frankly a fairly high price point. I am very pleasantly surprised to say that I’ll be purchasing additional different scents from this vendor, instead.I chose the holy basil / lavender / bergamot. I like those three things independently, so why not? It really doesn’t smell like any of those, though. I opened the bottle and was immediately hit with a blast of childhood nostalgia. In combination, it smells like sassafras. Not the leaves or the bark but the roots, fresh dug and still wet on the inside. It’s kind of crazy.Beyond that the scent is lovely and we can use scent as an anchor to achieve the mood we train ourselves to associate with it, I’m not sure that it’s got any additional chemical benefit. I didn’t find any supporting documentation that the kind of serotonin in the oil is absorbed by skin contact so I’m not sure I’m sold on that benefit. At the same time, if it doesn’t absorb it doesn’t hurt anything.Back to positives, nothing about it bothers it triggers my allergies, neither contact irritation or sinus irritation. I’m allergic to basically everything, so that’s kind of a big deal. It does rub in fairly well, and doesn’t leave gross oily residue everywhere. The scent lasts a long time, too.And the bottle is cute. Totally petty, but true. It’s a dark blue glass with a rounded top to the lid. It’s soothing, so the pleasant experience starts as soon as I pick it up.

Aromatherapy has always been a large part of my culture so I was happy to give this a try. I have had this for about 2 weeks now and have used it every morning/evening along with any times in between I may have needed it.I keep it in my purse now so that when Iâm dealing with a tough client or bad traffic, I can pull it out right away. Iâve been getting more and more anxiety, I find so this has done a decent job in nipping it in the bud.The light lavender and bergamot scent is probably my favourite. The only complaint I have is that I wish the scent lasted longer on my skin. Then again, everyoneâs pH can affect the scent so maybe itâs just me. The great thing about it, though, is that I can reapply over and over and I still have a good amount left!Itâs of course not quite beneficial for sever bouts of anxiety or stress but it helps with minor issues, if only by distracting you with its scent.Either way, I recommend it as a wonderful addition to your morning and evening routines. P.S. the packaging is simply adorable!
