Still on the same bottle for like 3 years!
It’s taken me about THREE years to go through this big bottle! I bought it because it was the most cost effective (and yes, I did expect the potency to go down once opened, especially at this three year mark). I have 3B curls which are now a little more relaxed now that I do keratin regularly. I used to have a thick head of hair but that was before a surgery, sickness, and turning 40 left me with about half my usual hair. On the bright side, it takes 50% less time to style and I go through much less product every year!Anyway, this keratin treatment works wonders on my hair, especially for the first two to three washes. It feels silky soft and straight with much less frizz. My hair is naturally on the drier side so I wash every week and a half or so. Once I started running and sweating more, I felt like the keratin needed to be applied more frequently (about every two months). I am still saving thousands of dollars compared to salon prices and the convenience of doing this at home in less than two hours is priceless. Pics show what my hair looks like normally and after a keratin treatment!

Really works, the best thing I’ve found for my hair so far. Like a miracle!
I have the worst hair texture. I am caucasian, hair is Frizzy/wavy/puffy but waves are less like waves than unfortunate kinks. The effect in its natural state is escaped lunatic hitting rock bottom. I have tried hundreds of products but have found nothing up to the task of fixing my hair. Until this. It really, really works. I am on my fourth treatment. The effect is initially super smooth and glossy and does wear off gradually over time. There is no line of demarcation as hair grows. My hair is so crazy textured that I am finding I get about two months out of a treatment. I do wash my hair most days. I have found drying is quicker and less styling is necessary. I can even just blow it dry and go out in public. The treatment smooths and seems to fill in the cuticle rather than straighten. I still have my wave pattern but it is smooth glossy random waves, and it is easier to blow it straight. Prior to this I would always have to use a flat iron, curling iron, or my wonderful rotating instyler before being fit to go out in public. The fumes during application are strong at times but really not the whole time. I am experimenting with when to wash treatment out. Currently I think there is benefit to leaving it in for three days, but three days of unwashed hair is kind of painful. While waiting there is a horrible waxy feel and hair is prone to tangling. Once i washed it out the next day, but i felt like leaving it longer got a better and longer lasting result. That all said, changing the texture of my hair so semi permanently has been a miracle in my life.

My second review for this product (2nd purchase and third bottle), and again, I’m happy with it. I put some notes in my last review for the product that people might find really helpful, especially if you have sensitive skin, but for some reason I can’t find it in my review history to re-post.The gist of it was that the product doesn’t have as strong a smell and as many fumes as other keratin treatments I’ve used in the past. It is very effective and leaves hair super soft. Works on very curly/kinky hair as well. It’s not too strong for fine hair like mine. Just don’t leave it in wet phase (the wet stage before blow-drying) longer than the times stated by the manufacturer in the instructions – I did that the first time to let it air-dry and got some darkening like a mild burn (but no pain occurred and it eventually faded).

Great product but it feels sticky and,matte in your hair until you wash it. But you can wash it the next day. I think people should be taught about the formaldehyde. If it’s only 1 or 2% it’s ok to use. The keratin does not work unless there is a small percentage of the formaldehyde in it. And if clients are going to spend the time and money they want results! Do them outside..school your clients!

The best benefit for me were those really dry frizzy hairs …
I’d say this product resulted in 50% curl reduction and 80% frizz reduction for ~ 1 month.I have extremely tight curly hair and this made my hair into big ole soft ringlets . The best benefit for me were those really dry frizzy hairs around my face turned into soft shiny waves instead of… brill-o pad. I could brush my hair and it instead of poofing into a fro it just loosened my curls a little more.Worth the money for the time it’ll save you dealing with curly hair every day. It’s nice not having to shower every time you need to go in public. (:**Vapor/fumes from this hurt my eyeballs like they’ve never hurt before. Please be careful, it is very painful.**
