I don’t know what to think about this different applicator brush. I get the same results as the regular brush. It will take some practice to see if I can use it correctly.

I developed dry eye due to extensive use of my eyes for detail work and computer screen viewing. It seems to be a condition that is becoming more common.Make up I had previously worn now irritates my eyes to the point that I am unable to wear it. I have searched for a Mascara that does not irritate my eyes and does not flake or run. Almay Is the fourth and least expensive mascara I have tried, claiming to be both waterproof and hypoallergenic and It is the only one that does not irritate my eyes.I was not too pleased with the reshaped mascara wand at first, but have adapted to it, and find it is not the problem I thought it would be.If you have dry eye, I recommend you try this mascara. Almay, waterproof mascara remover works with this mascara.Be warned about the shape of the wand, but I recommend you try to work with it. This mascara is worth it.

I normally love Almay waterproof mascaras and have used them for years but when my normal one was unavailable, I tried Almayâs one-coat mega volume, waterproof mascara and disliked it. The applicator was oddly shaped, wider at the tip, which made it really hard to apply without making a mess around my eyes. Additionally, the mascara was super goopy and I ended up with my lashes all clumped together. I absolutely could not use it without spending the next two or three minutes separating all my lashes with a little brush. I swear, I looked like a five-year-old, trying out momâs mascara for the first time – NOT the look I was going for. I think this mascara would benefit tremendously from a normal-width brush and a narrower end of the tube, to knock off a little more of the mascara as it comes out. Until this is remedied, I wonât be buying it again.

Beautiful and very long lasting!
A bit of history: I have used Almay mascara exclusively for more than 15 years. My eyes are very sensitive, and my eyelids itch & swell up with other products. My seasonal allergies also make me tear up so frequently that if I don’t wear water-proof mascara, I look like a raccoon.I originally became an Almay One-Coat Waterproof Mascara “convert” and was happy until a couple of years ago when the formula changed. The ‘new improved’ product was overly thick and gloppy and dried up in the container before it ran out – so I was not a happy camper! I had negative reactions to other brands, though, so I was stuck with either using something I didn’t like, or nothing at all.Then Almay Mega Volume came out and I was THRILLED! The formula is smooth and goes on effortlessly with NO CLUMPS! It lasts all day and even through swimming! I LOVE THIS STUFF!The megaphone shaped applicator wand is a little weird, but not hard to get used to – so don’t let that scare you.The only down side to be aware of is that it takes a bit of intentional effort to remove. I use baby oil and a wash cloth, and it takes some gentle rubbing to take it all off. But, unlike some mascaras I used in the past – no eyelashes come out with it (seriously!) so it’s all good!Complete disclosure: IT STAINS! I don’t know it it’s the combination of baby-oil and mascara that stains, or if it would stain with other removers, too – but it definitely does NOT all wash out. I have my own set of cheap-o wash cloths that I take with me when I travel so that I don’t ruin my family member’s wash cloths. For me, it’s a very small inconvenience and well worth having lashes that look long and dark – when mine are naturally stubby and pale!

ABSOLUTELY HIDEOUS!
I’m always on the hunt for better waterproof mascara. I live in a windy area and my eyes tear easily. Regular mascara, no matter how expensive, left me looking like a raccoon. I thought I’d try the Almay as it would be gentle and to be sure I could remove it, I bought the Almay eye makeup remove that claimed to be good on waterproof versions. It wasn’t. The mascara was terrible. There was no way to remove this stuff AT ALL. I used three different removers that have always done a good job after the brand specific one did NOTHING. My eyes were raw after all the rubbing trying to get it off, no matter how gentle they all were. The Almay was horrible, mostly mineral oil or something. I threw both of them away. The nasty clumps of mascara stayed on my lashes for days. In the end I lost money, time and a lot of lashes I do not have to spare. I suppose if I were in my twenties and didn’t care if I took off my eye make-up before bed, I wouldn’t have cared, so if you never do and aren’t concerned with how bad this is for you, well, you might like it. If you WANT a mascara that will stick on your lashes for days no matter what you do, then, this is the one for you. I didn’t and it wasn’t.

Great mascara but sent wrong one
Amazon sent the wrong one they sent me red one instead of pink and white the red one irritates my lashes /eyes canât find it anywhere I used it in past I was happy to find pink and white Almay waterproof mascara it works great Best one so far It says I canât return Ithe red one itâs unopened !

Like the product but not the brush with the wide end
The product works great but I do not like that brush with the wide end. Think I’ll try to trim it down a bit! I will be careful the next time I need to order mascara to look at the brush closer!!!
