Gorgeous mature beast!
I just got my order and it was delivered in a decent amount of time and well packed. The box is like all Al Haramain Amber oud boxes, but this one is bright pink!!Love it. So the fragranceâ¦It is beautiful, but polarizing. Either you like it or not. If you are familiar with Mancera Roses Greedy, I can tell you that they are far cousins . Roses Greedy have lots of amber, flowers and citrus notes, versus Ultra Violet which have ginger , white flowers and patchouli , so although they are NOT the same, somehow they feel 65% similar. Roses Greedy is definitely my first choice cause is vibrant and modern. Now Ultra Violet opens very smooth and although is also loud, it tones down after a while, but the thing is that the scent changes and at the dry down it feels somewhat old/too floral and vintage. Overall This is a quality juice with that lingering oil that sticks to your skin due to the Parfum concentration. All the notes are well blended. I also feel is slightly sweet( not gourmand) although nothing sweet is listed on the notes. I do feel is for a more mature crowd and thatâs why I think is polarizing, but you wear what you like.ð. I sprayed it like 3 hrs ago and projection is strong to moderate, sillage is good and longevity like 5+hrs, versus Mancera Roses Greedy is like 8+hrs on performance and a beast in projection with better blended notes. One thing is that I love unisex fragrances but this one ,in my opinion , is ultra feminine and if you love a lot of flowers on your perfume notes, go for it. I included pictures. Hope this helps you decide if this fragrance is right for you. At the end is an Al Haramain fragrance and to me that means qualityð.

Amber Oud Ultra Violet
Ok. I blind bought Amber Oud Ultra Violet because I own & LOVE Amber Oud – Gold. I liked the pretty pink packaging of Ultra Violet and the fragrance notes:Top: Ginger, Rose & Bergamot; Middle: Tuberose, Jasmine & White Flowers; Base: Oak, Patchouli & MuskWhen I first sprayed it, my nose did not immediately like it. But as a fragrance lover, sometimes a fragrance has to dry down before its true essence shines. I waited and this was still NOT the fragrance for me.Aside from the White Flowers, I could only faintly smell any other notes. When I sniffed my wrist, this fragrance irritates my nostrils.I had to double check the notes and can say with certainty that it’s the white flowers that are too loud and give me a headache. Ultra Violet reminds me of another fragrance with white flowers that I do not like: Dior’s Pure Poison. Ugh. I am not sure what “white flowers” are used in these fragrances but I am almost sure it’s Gardenia. Not all fragrances vibe with everyone the same. And this is one blind buy from a great Fragrance House that just did not vibe with me. If you can get a sample before purchasing Ultra Violet, that would be a wise move.
