An Amazing Guide for Anyone Struggling to Feel Better
This book is the perfect beginners guide to learning everything you need to know about gut health. As a 54 year old women who suffered through so many side effects of menopause, I appreciated the authorâs personal experience backed up by science, and explained simply in a way I could understand. I didnât realize the parallel between gut health and mental health and how it ties in with the rest of the body. If you are serious about taking this journey to improve your overall health, I recommend following the guide, taking notes, and navigating the solutions (the author offers many to choose from) that can be tailored to work for you and your lifestyle.

Excellent guide for learning how to create a healthy gut
This book was great, loaded with information and examples of how to identify and reduce or eliminate gut problems. The author presented a clear explanation of the brain-gut connection and how they communicate with each other in keeping us healthy and disease free. She made it clear that nutrition (whole, clean foods), sleep, stress, and physical activity, all play an essential role in gut health. And an unhealthy cut can result in immune deficiencies and, as a result, disease. I have read many books on this subject because of my on-going problems with IBS. This book was very helpful. It presented a variety of healthy foods, strategies and natural remedies that people can choose from based on their specific physiological make-up.I highly recommend this book for anyone suffering from digestive issues or other diseases.

Very Informative and Well-Written
This book is very well written and offers a lot of information regarding gut health in women. To say I learned a lot is an understatement. I love how readable the book is, and that there is an opportunity for self reflection and planning at the end of each chapter. That step of writing down my thinking and action steps, based on what I just read, feels motivating to me and will likely help hold me accountable to implement what I have learned. From reading this book, I have a better idea of what foods I should avoid and what foods I should add into my diet. I also learned more about the connections of our gut with physical exercise, sleep, and stress. I believe this book is a valuable resource for every woman over 50.

Women only?
I’m a guy, and I read this book intended for women. Why? because I’m curious about gut health. I believe that gut health is gut health and this book delivers. The big message is that gut health is critical for overall well-being. You must have an understanding of what you are eating and how that impacts your body. Get the book and learn the details.

Very informative
I found this book very informative and easy to read and understand as you navigate through menopause. There were many things I would not have realized that all connect to your gut. One big one was stress/mental health. I just feel like any issues you have, whether itâs physical or mental seem to magnify during menopause. This book helps you to understand that eating healthy, reducing stress, exercising, doing yoga, and just taking time for yourself can eliminate many symptoms. Who would have thought your gut played a big roll in all of these issues being connected. This book breaks down everything for you in a way that you can understand easily and take the steps to improve your life. Highly recommend this read

This was a great read for women looking to take control of their health. The overall tone of the book was encouraging and uplifting. There was a lot of factual information but you don’t need an advanced degree to understand it, making the information accessible and actionable. Some key messages the author emphasized included the importance of stress management, listening to your body and, accepting that everyone’s body is unique, what works for someone, may not work for you. I liked the summary at the end, it helps to highlight main points but I can also use the outline to quickly find the sections I found most useful.

I bought the “Ultimate Guide to Gut Health for Women Over 50,” because I am doing some research on the topic myself. Although I am a guy, I got it for my wife who is also interested in the subject. Some fascinating info here which is really easy to read and absorb⦠Sorry, no pun inteneded! Good insights and sympathetic to a mature female reader. Thankfully, itâs not a full blown âscienceâ book but has good science woven throughout its wisdom. Both my wife and I really enjoyed this book.

I am stunned how this book break downs this complex topic into understandable knowledge. I had never imaged how much impact it does create to change just your daily eating habit as your gut and brain are in constant connection. So eating unhealthy food on daily basis could lead your brain to negative signals.

An interesting book that absolutely covers the basics. Nothing is really new in here but basic things are explained well so this is a good book for beginners. I liked the little reflection sections to help consolidate the learning.
