Unusual product
Thought I’d give this a try, something different and perhaps a better whitener for a coffee drinker like me. Well, I was right, it’s different! It is black, as shown, and has a sort of thick, pasty/gel consistency. The only way I found to get it on the brush was to scoop a little out of the jar onto a dry brush then wet it slightly before brushing. It has an unsuual flavor, but not unpleasant nor strong. Probably my least favorite thing about it is that it does not foam or suds at all like a regular toothpaste, so you end up with a mouthful of black liquid that can easily end up drooling down your chin onto clothes (ugh!) and which splatters everywhere when you spit into the sink, leaving your sink in need of a throrough rinsing. The regular products, which foam, don’t do that, and this being black really emphasized the mess. It rinses away easily; as far as whether it would stain your clothes, I’ve been fortunate to not run that experiment.Does it whiten better, as claimed? I can’t say that I’m seeing a difference in the 3 weeks or so I’ve used it, but I only use it once a day and my regular toothpaste the other times. I’ll continue the test and report back if anything changes – plus, I have a tooth cleaning/checkup appointment next week, so maybe my hygienist will tell me something I don’t know.

Whitens for sure, but I’ve read some issues with charcoal in toothpaste
Basically, the short review is this: if you want something that whitens considerably better than most common brands of whitening toothpaste, this could be the one for you. It works extremely well at doing that. However, there could be some considerations to keep in mind that might make you want to rethink this, especially as your primary toothpaste.Keep the following in mind:1. Charcoal can be problematic for enamel and many dentists don’t recommend it. Prolonged use of charcoal can damage enamel, leaving you with white and unhealthy teeth. Occasional use is probably okay, and the whitening benefits are clear; however, I’m not a dentist or a doctor, so take that with a grain of salt.2. The other ingredients are pretty varied; diatoms (diatomaceous earth) have a ton of uses, but basically it’s tiny particles (micrometers in size) of rock that have somewhat jagged edges. I suppose in this product, the diatoms provide extra abrasive scrubbing action. Another use that’s sort of crazy, is to kill fleas and insects by using this to line the area around a home. The edges are so jagged on a tiny scale that they can cut little bugs into pieces. Seems sort of weird to put that on your teeth, but whatever. The remaining ingredients are more innocuous sounding (coconut oil, tea tree oil – kind of a panacea itself, and salt).3. The taste is not amazing. It’s kind of jarring to have something that’s slightly minty but simultaneously black and earthy in your mouth. I don’t hate it, but it’s not quite as fresh as other toothpastes I’ve used, likely due to the earthiness. It does leave a fresh mouth feel after rinsing, however.Overall, I suggest caution with a product like this. Occasional use definitely provides whitening benefits, but given the ingredients, I would be very reluctant to use it as a daily toothpaste for long periods.***I write reviews as a hobby because I love trying out electronics, clothing, household products, kitchen devices, and more. My hope is that my review will guide you to make a more informed choice about whether or not to make a purchase. Great whitening toothpaste!
I was a bit alarmed to see a pitch black gel inside the container, but trust me — it works to whiten teeth!Don’t be afraid to use it with every brushing — and be mindful that a little goes a long way. Most needed is a pea-sized dollop on your toothbrush.I used my fingertip to scoop out a bit of gel and put it on my brush, but you can use the brush to do the same thing by dipping it in the jar.The flavor is of cloves — which I love. Some may find it a bit strong, but it’s a refreshing change from the mint that’s so often used in toothpastes.I was able to notice a whiter difference in my teeth in a week and will keep using this toothpaste gel.No fluoride, cruelty free and packaged in a recyclable (type 5 resin) cup.As with many products in a container of this size, it’s hard to read all of the printing on the label…the good news is that the vendor includes a QR code for easy access to much more detail and better formatted information.A bit more expensive than mass-market toothpastes, and offered in a jar rather than a tube, but we found this product better tasting and better at whitening than others and worth the price. We like and recommend this “coal-white” toothpaste!

Think there is better charcoal toothpaste
I do not like that this is in a tub. It just seems kind of a waste and hard to keep sanitized. If you are the only person using it then great. Defiantly not meant to share with the household. I did want to give this a try as I have heard great things about charcoal toothpaste. It does have a different flavor to it. Kind of taste like mint and maybe black licorice. I donât care for it but its not overpowering. The toothpaste itself is a thick past consistency, much like all other toothpaste. It is black, so be aware of that. It brushes on like any other toothpaste and left my teeth and mouth feeling clean. I have not seen a difference in my teeth color and I have been using it for about a month.
