I Prefer the Vanilla Jasmine Over Lavender
6-27-17In the Crystal Essence line, the Vanilla Jasmine seems to last the longest with me. It is also the scent I’m reviewing here.My reason for purchase is to shy away from the harsh chemicals in all aspects of my life, especially the hygiene though. I have been looking for a deodorant that lasts all day… or at least allows me to smell pleasant after a long hard day of work. I do a variety of work, which sometimes can be very laborious. I’m a mechanic by trade and work out in the elements, but lately I do much more than that such as landscaping or roofing.Being a female, I want to smell pleasant as possible even if working hard. The regular harsh brands have always kept up with me, so I expected the “safer” natural products to do the same. I do not expect NOT to sweat… that’s just unnatural, but I do expect to stink less, if at all. I’ve only just received the deodorant a few days ago and have been giving it a try since. I’m taking more care to time how long it lasts while wearing it for different jobs. Yesterday I did mostly home chores. It’s the summer here with temps averaging mid 80s* F to 90s*F during the day. I would also like to add I do not use AC, but only windows and fans for cooling. The chores I did were 5 loads of laundry, vacuuming (2 large rooms), wiping down 2 large rooms from the walls down to all the furniture with surface cleaner, and cooked 2 meals…. this all took aboout 10-12 hours. I just want to give an idea of what kind of work to demonstrate the ability of the deodorant. This did last the entire time… I have not had much luck with the other natural deodorants, but this one seems more promising.I have tried the Lavender scented one from the same Crystal Essence line, although, it did not last like this Vanilla Jasmine did. I also like the scent, Vanilla Jasmine, a little more than the Lavender over all. Let me also add, I tried to modify the Lavender scented one by adding more essential oils such as Tea Tree, Lavender, & Geranium (only 1 drop of this -it’s powerful)… this still did not help much. I’mean finally almost done the Lavender one but I only use it for around the house, not for work. Both scents when applying, I do so very liberally…especially because they’re natural. I apply twice as much as I did when I used to use the regular harsh deodorants.I will update once I have more times logged and experience with the Vanilla Jasmine. I hope it doesn’t let me down.I bought this from the seller “Amazon.com LLC”, which I feel is important to list this info. I’ve come across sellers with variances in their items, including knockoffs, even if listed as same brand.***UPDATE*** 8-3-17Well, I think I’ve used this deodorant for good amount of time. I still prefer the way this Vanilla Jasmine lasts over the Lavender (I still have a tiny bit left). I can go over a half day while sweating, working outdoors in the sun (roughly 90s F) and still smell pleasant up until early evening, if I start by 8 or 9am (freshly showered and Vanilla Jasmine applied). This is one of the better “natural” deodorants I’ve used. In fact I’m ordering more. This way I can reapply throughout the day. 1 I’l keep in my bathroom closet for using after showering, the other for reapplying if I feel the need to. I don’t want to contaminate the one I use for after shower… *shrugs* I’m somewhat a germaphobe. My sister originally used the Lavender too, but she also prefers this Vanilla Jasmine. I’m sold for now.***UPDATE*** 8-16-17After posting my last update, maybe a couple days ago, my sister has come to me stating that she started getting a rash under her arms. She has not changed her washing detergent or any other routines as of late, so the only thing it can be affecting her is the deodorant. Even though they’re in the same product line, the Lavender has no ill effects towards her. She’s a little disappointed with that fact, because like I mentioned previously, she likes this scent (Vanilla Jasmine) more than the Lavender one. She uses it sparingly… while I slather it on, with no ill effects. I shave my pits too, if that makes a difference. I know not everyone does.I just thought I’d let everyone know… but I’m not allowing her opinions or ill effects affect my review or rating. This is solely based on my personal experience. Thank you.
