Doesn’t irritate my sensitive eyes
I have sensitive eyes that water at the drop of a hat. They’re especially sensitive to waterproof mascara, which I have to wear because my eyes are constantly watering. Almay waterproof hypoallergenic mascara was my go-to for years. But then my eyes decided they were sensitive to that, too. I tried this mascara not expecting much. I want familiar with the brand. To my amazement, this mascara does not irritate my sensitive eyes! It doesn’t make them water at all! What’s more, this waterproof mascara doesn’t flake, doesn’t smudge, and looks great on!! I remove it with jojoba oil, and a q-tip, and it does take a little work to get it off. But I’m counting that as a plus, because it wears well all day. I’m on my 2nd tube, and praying that my eyes don’t become sensitive to this mascara because I really like it! I just wish they’d come out with waterproof brown or brownish-black.

Clio Kill Lash is here to SLAY
I have used both the Volume Curling and the Extreme Volume for over a year now, and nothing, I mean NOTHING beats the smudge proof on these babies. I have cried, sweated my butt off, and worked a 16 hr hospital shift in these puppies! No smudge. Not one! Highly recommend them for people looking for longwear, but don’t mind not having the fluffiest or longest lashes in town.Between the two types, I personally prefer the curling, as I find the thinner brush easier to work with, but they both perform well for their intended lash style. Neither is the most extreme volume or length I’ve seen, but both formulas are in among the top mascaras in my book. Add in the smuge-free factor, and Clio Kill Lash takes my top spot as an everyday, extremely wearable mascara.However, there are two minor caveats with these mascaras:First, they take time to dry, and will smudge in the first few minutes of application. So, let them dry down before sprays or whatever.Second, they’re difficult to remove. Makes sense given their incredible staying power, but I’ve found many removers and wipes barely make a dent in them. You need a powerful oil and water hybrid base remover if you want them gone*. (My fav: Skinfood Milkshake remover)*I do see that Clio makes a remover for them, but I have yet to try.

Numer 2 is amazing, keeps curl up all day and stays on.Number 4 is awful, looks to me like itâs more of a tubing mascara, not waterproof at all, weighed down my lashes, I tried to curl them after applying and mascara just started falling off all over my face.

If you have short, straight eyelashes that don’t hold a curl and never look quite long enough, this mascara is for you. I have tried SO MANY mascaras and this is the only one that makes my Asian eyelashes look long and luscious (I am part Japanese, part Filipina living in the US).I have repurchased the mascara SO SO SO many times, I’ve lost count, to the point where I’ve stopped trying new products, particularly American mascaras, because they never do my Asian eyelashes justice. American mascaras just aren’t made for my demographic, whereas those in the Asian markets, like this product, are.If you’re frustrated with your short, straight eyelashes looking lackluster, try this. I promise it won’t disappoint. Just use an eyelash curler and apply. 2 coats max, though more won’t weigh your lashes down. This formula is so lightweight, it’s effortless!

doesn’t hold a curl
I have bought 3 versions of this mascara: 01 long volumizing, 02 volume curling, and recently 010 sharp curling (which is the one I’ll be reviewing). The sharp curling doesn’t keep my Asian lashes curled, to be honest. It’s lacking compared to both 01 and 02â01 really lengthens and I feel like it also holds a curl and 02 adds volume and holds a curl, though 01 is better. 010 also smudges a bit and the wand is hard to use for bottom lashes. I say skip the sharp curl, and buy the original ones instead.

I didn’t even know I had eyelashes before I used this mascara. I am light skinned Asian and have short, straight sparse lashes that point down. I’ve tried SO MANY mascaras with varying degrees of un-success because so many of them weighed down the curled lashes and just un-curled them.This Clio mascara however holds curl so much better than most of my other ones, I used one coat and it gave me length I’ve never seen before on my natural lashes. The wand is thin unlike most other western brand mascaras so you can really go into the roots with them! Also very good for bottom lashes because it’s so extremely waterproof that it literally doesn’t smudge at all :)The only thing is because it’s so waterproof, that make sure you have an oil-based waterproof eye makeup remover 🙂 I didn’t, and it took me a long time with micellar water to remove.Overall 9.9/10 would def repurchase

Trust me I have short really curly lashes that arenât usually seen but this gave both the length and perfect curl I needed! Better than any LâOréal or maybelline or more expensive mascara Iâve tried. Now I need a non waterproof version for those days I donât need it to last a week. Yes you do need an oil or bi-phase eye makeup remover to get it off but when you do itâs pretty easy to get off 🙂

Not good for the base coat, but I use this mascara as a second coat. It lengthens and doesn’t transfer as badly as my other “Waterproof” mascaras.
