I have been using a Sonicare brush for some years now — the Platinum model, in particular — and my periodontist and hygienists kept reading me the riot act about my home dental regimen every time I visited them, despite the fact that I used the sonic brush, a waterpik, a water flosser, dental floss, and more.So I thought I’d give this Oral B a try, given that it delivers the sonic treatment PLUS the head rotates like the polisher in the dentist’s office.To my amazement, both the periodontist and hygienist said my teeth and gums were looking much better. Loud, and requires technique
To start, it’s a powerful brush. The oscillating head honestly leaves my teeth feeling cleaner than the prior electric toothbrush I owned. You have to go over each tooth individually – you can’t just run it back and forth along the gumline and expect it to get everything. That said, it does leave you feeling like you’ve had a professional cleaning. Only real con so far is that it’s loud, and I feel like the pressure sensor is a little too sensitive. That, and there are no mode indicator lights.A nice compromise between inexpensive and effective.

First of all the toothbrush was delayed in delivery which is unusual as one message I got when enquiring said the company had gone out of business so did I want a refund, I figured “yes” while I still can get it why not and I would order it again if possible with a different connection. Amazon was very good about the refund, said a credit was going thru in the next couple of days to my VIZA. The very next day the toothbrush arrived in perfect shape. Then the next day I get this email from Amazon saying the refund is done plus I receive a gift if I click the gift box which I did and up popped an image of the very brush I had ordered, the message said it was a gift. I was so dumbfounded and needless to say delighted. It is nice to know Amazon has this generous side however I am going to reverse the refund as we are so happy with the new product we are more than willing to pay for it.We have had an Oral B E-toothbrush for over ten years that was starting to slow down so I ordered the new Pro 1500 as a replacement.- The new brush is easier to hold it has a slimmer smoother finish- The brush sits on the counter on it’s own due to two lovely little knobs that support it, so it is easier to put the toothpaste on it without making a big mess when it falls over (not that I’m a pick, ya right! :)- The 4 reminder warnings to move to brush a different quadrant are very useful for my husband and I, we like the reminder, I notice some reviewers don’t but we definitely do.- I like the smaller base and the whole look of the complete unit on the counter.- We both feel our teeth are cleaner after using the Pro 1500 than our previous model.- The price was right, very similar to what we paid ten years ago.- If this one last ten years like the last one did we will be delighted.
