I am always on the lookout for a hair product that I think may work well with my longer, wavy, frizz-prone hair-in the hopes of finding THE perfect product for me. I have only used this China Herbal product once but this is what I have noticed.The bottle is only 3.38 oz which is a great trial size to see if you like it.It arrived sealed in plasticThe bottle is a harder plastic and does not squeeze out so you will have to pour it out. It has a white twist on cap and beneath that is a flip top little cap that, when open, has a small hole to pour the shampoo out. I had to pry this off with my nails because it was pouring out too slowly.The shampoo has a pleasant smell and I didn’t find it too strong.I don’t wash my hair daily and usually wash it once or twice a week. I ended up washing my hair twice with this product which is normal. The first time I washed it I didn’t have any lather but after some of the build up had been washed out I had a little lather on the second wash. There is not much lather though.I left this in my hair for about five minutes as I showered and by the time I rinsed it out the lather was gone. The product washed out easily.The two times that I washed it I ended up using about 1/5 of the bottle so this will last me a couple of weeks. I do use a lot of shampoo though as my hair is a sponge and longer (below the shoulders).I only used this product on my hair so I could leave a better review. I found that it actually has some detangling properties as my hair was a little easier to brush out than it usually is after a wash.My hair did feel softer as it was drying.By the time my hair was completely dry it was very frizzy, which is my biggest disappointment to this product and why I gave it four stars. I think the oil control could be a disadvantage for my hair type.Overall, I would buy this product again although I would be happier buying it if I knew it was cruelty free. I think that it is a healthier option for my hair than all of those chemical filled shampoos. I will add in a moisturizing treatment or other form of frizz control though.My Amazon rating system-Five stars-Great item. May have a minor flaw that does not detract from appearance or function.Four stars-Great item. Flaw or problem more noticeable. Or, price may be high for what it is.Three stars-Good item. Has a flaw/problem that requires more work than should be invested in a product.Two stars-May be a good item with work. Or, doesn’t work for me but may for someone else.One star-Nope. Doesn’t work for me and probably won’t for anyone else.

A win-win for cleansing hair
I didn’t think I would like this shampoo because I read a review that was somewhat critical. That person had long thick hair. I have extremely fine, normal-to-oily, chin-length hair. It’s true the bottle is not squeezable and you must remove the tab under the cap to pour out the shampoo. That’s not a major inconvenience.This is a travel-size bottle and you can expect to get about five washings (two applications for each washing.) I found this to lather up quite nicely. I was also surprised at how “squeaky clean” my hair felt after the second lather. This was very gentle on the scalp. There is almost zero factor in fragrance or scent.I purposely didn’t apply any conditioner or other hair products because I wanted to provide an accurate review of this shampoo. I thought my hair would be a tangled smell to comb out but it brushed easily. Note again, I have short, fine hair. Those with long thicker tresses may need to use conditioner. After blow-drying, I was impressed with the softness and body — especially since I didn’t use any other products. I’m hoping the company that produces this recognizes they have a good product but there is a need to improve its packaging.The label is not attractive and hinders marketability. The print used on the label is set in 2-point type — making it impossible to read the ingredients. The label is also lacking directions. That being said, I really do like this shampoo. My hair feels clean, bouncy and is nice and shiny — all with only shampoo and no other products. That’s a win-win for me!
