Best Tubing Mascara so Far. 5 stars with unexpected UPDATE
I’ve used tubing mascara for many years. I hate raccoon eyes, and removing waterproof mascara is a true pain; I can never get it all off and no matter which remover I used, I ended up with irritated eyelids.Tubing mascara has a tendency to dry out faster than regular mascaras, at least in those I’ve used. I’ve used the iconic Loreal Double Extend Tubing mascara, No. 7, NYX, and Elf. All will dry out quickly. All clumped to a certain extent, and all flaked a bit.I want a tubing mascara that flows on, doesn’t start to dry out after the third use, and doesn’t flake. It may be the native formulation of tubing mascara that it starts to dry out quickly; I’ll accept it. But, I really dislike flaking.I’ve just received the Blinc, who BTW, pioneered tubing technology. This is day 5 of use. By day 5, the other tubing mascaras started drying out slightly. So far, Blinc has not. That’s a huge plus since the little clumps are caused by drying out. So far, so good.I’m 62 1/2 years old. My eyelashes are blond to begin with, but they aren’t replaced as quickly as they fall out as you age. My lashes used to touch my eyelids (a pain in the arse, because they always left mascara on my eyelids). They’re sparse compared to my youth. Without mascara, they’re invisible. I need a mascara that will add volume as well as length. So, I chose this formulation of Blinc.What you see in the photo, is 1 coat of Blinc on my upper lashes, and a very light, quick, swipe, of the tip of the applicator, on my bottom lashes. I have a very minimal underlining of shadow under my lower lashes, and no eyelining or shadow lining on my upper lashes. This is my daily makeup routine. It’s a minimal look with just enough makeup to make my eyes show up.The Blinc goes on smoother than any tubing mascara I’ve tried. It certainly lasts, although like other tubing mascaras, if I get wet and it’s warm, the tube will come off. Expect this with all tubing mascaras; they’re formulated to be removed with warm water. The tubes started coming off when I wash and sealed the clear coat on my brand new car, in 82° heat. I was sweating, and it started sprinkling. So, warm + water = removal! I’m not docking stars for this. It’s what we all want, albeit preferably in the shower.I’ve not noticed any increase in clumps since opening the tube. So far, it’s not starting to dry out. By this time, even though I’m always careful about replacing the wand and closing the tube very quickly, I’ve noticed the beginning of drying out in the other brands I’ve tried.The only thing I’ve noticed is a small amount of flaking. While I really dislike flaking, especially while I wear contact lenses, so far Blinc has the least amount. It’s probably in direct proportion to the dryness of the formula. I’ll update if this changes.Compared with the other tubing mascaras I’ve tried, Blinc is far superior. It earns a 4 1/2 star rating (docking 1/2 for minimal flaking). I’ll round up to 5 stars.UPDATE: Well, I’ve just written the initial review and I’m updating to a full 5 stars. I’ve been dragging 20, 40 lb bags of soil in and out of the cat, then blocking out the place for my eventual garage. I’m hot, tired, and sweating a ton. It’s good and warm outside. Note that the Blinc, which I applied 5 hours ago, hasn’t budged. There are no tunes laying on my face, nor is it flaking. I honestly didn’t expect this. I would have tubes all round my eyes from the other mascaras.This is a definite keeper.

Perfection…for a time.
I originally tried Blinc mascara because I could not find a mascara that stayed put. I was constantly checking in the mirror to see little flakes or smudges every with every product I tried. This is very embarrassing when you are in meetings and trying to make a good impression, but all any one notices is your racoon eyes. I sometimes have up to 16 hour days and need a product that can do double duty and help to keep me looking fresh. The owner of a spa where I go recommended Blinc and really felt it would solve my problem. Blinc is unique from other mascaras in that the mascara encases your lashes like little tubes surrounding each lash. It goes on smoothly, really defines and separates. It stays put but washes off really easily with just warm water – a real plus to not need more chemicals or harsh, drying make-up removers around the eyes. There is also an accompanying lash extender that works very well. The color is true black without the jet black that can look too harsh, especially on fair skinned people.When I first began using Blinc mascara, I absolutely loved it. Long, defined lashed and all day wear with no flakes or specks. If that did happen, it was only because I was trying to use the tube too long and needed a new one. With a fresh tube, again perfection! In addition, Blinc is modestly priced, comes in a great metal tube that is really convenient for traveling, and ordering and delivery is smooth and efficient. This would rate a 5 star – however:The last couple of tubes I have purchased have not been as good. They seem not to last as long, and every day I have little specks of mascara flaking off- sometimes larger ones – throughout the day and I am back again checking in the mirror to be sure I don’t look ill-kempt when meeting with professional colleagues and new contacts. I am willing to try one more time, hoping that perhaps this has been a fluke. Hope it is because I have loved Blinc and recommended it to all of my friends and don’t want to begin the search for a new product.

Not good as only mascara you have and you need the primer; great for sensitive
I tried this on its own and was less-than impressed. It barely looked like I was wearing mascara. But I had ordered the primer to try with because I thought it might be useful and when it arrived, I noticed that the mascara was effective. This mascara is NOT very volumizing; I’d say it’s similar to regular non-tubing mascara when used with the primer. But it is great for sensitivity and to use on days that you don’t want to use other more dramatic mascara. I was having an allergy attack the other night and my eyes were burning and tearing up uncontrollably but I had a party to go to where I was a guest of honor; after using eye wash etc, I was thinking there was no way I’d be able to put on eye makeup for the party but decided to try out the blinc mascara. I was pleasantly surprised. It didn’t irritate at all and I was able to go to the party without runny mascara or puffy eyes. I wear contacts and glasses often.Also, I get really tired of my mascara not coming off all of the way after I wash my face (sometimes multiple times), but this stuff comes off very easily, leaving me without any trace of raccoon eye effect.

THE best mascara ever! Iâve tried so many different brands. Although this is a little more pricey, it definitely is worth it. I highly recommend for people who have mascara sensitivities or who are going for the more natural look. Iâve been using this for 13 years now.

This product is amazing. I am 44 and I have never been able to wear mascara as I always get smudgy under eyes after an hour or two. No matter what product I have tried it has always led to the same result. But with this tube mascara it really does exactly what it is supposed too. I can wear it all day, even to the gym with no smudges – at most I might get a little flake of the product if I have rubbed my eye – but that just dusts off. I have also purchased the primer and that makes my lashes appear much longer than using the product alone. I do find that in application it can have a tendency to clump lashes together but im sure this is as much down to my technique – and I can fix it using an old clean wand – so long as im quick. I have also noticed that I have seem to manage to get it on my lids and under eye during application – but give it a few seconds to dry and it just comes off easily with a dry cotton bud. I am now a mascara wearer – even on my lower lashes – and its great!

No more racoon eyes. Does not smudge or run. I’ve laughed till I’ve cried in this mascara and it looks as good as when I put it on. Easy to wash off with water and soap. No fancy eye makeup remover needed. Best mascara I’ve ever used and will be my product of choice going forward!

As long as you use it properly, this is amazing stuff! I like to curl my eyelashes and found that this mascara straightened them out again, so I now curl them then put one coat of my normal mascara on first and wait for it to dry. I then use the blinc mascara for a couple of coats. You do need to separate the lashes with a comb or pin before they dry, otherwise they can clump slightly. This may seem a bit fiddly but it’s honestly worth it – that mascara doesn’t budge until you want it to! I’ve dyed and washed my hair wearing it and would normally come out looking like a panda, but not any more!It comes off really easily with very light pressure using a flannel soaked in warm water. It’s also a good idea to wipe the top of the tube when you’ve finished – it does dry there and gets in the way.I can’t wait to try it out on my holiday – the amount of swimming I do will be a real challenge for it!
