How Did We Get Our Start?

Back in the mid-1990s, our founder Bill Whyte worked as a carpenter. He worked hard, and so did his hands. They would often split and crack in the frigid New England winters. One night, seeking a soothing solution, he mixed up some beeswax and olive oil to create a simple herbal balm. It helped his hands so much, he decided to share it with everyone he knew – and the rest, as they say, is Badger history.

    The only sunscreen I use for our trips to St Lucia
    This is THE BEST sunscreen brand in my opinion. This face stick is incredibly handy, I use it to cover my face, tattoos, and my husband’s bald spot on his head lol. It’s perfect!I appreciate that Badger brand is reef safe and water resistant, so I don’t have to worry wearing it while snorkeling. I also really appreciate the 98% organic ingredients so I am not rubbing cancer causing chemicals into my transdermal skin all day. It also doesn’t leave you looking white as a ghost because of the clear zinc. All green flags!I purchased the bottle and tube shown in my photo for a week long trip to St Lucia where I got married at the end of the week. It was SO important for me to not get burnt! And I didn’t! 100% the only brand I will purchase for sunscreen from now on.

    Great product and moisturizer!
    I honestly don’t mind the smell, it’s very earthy like clay, but I love those natural smells so not a problem for me and it dissipates quickly! It’s better to have a natural scent than toxic fragrance.However, it is definitely oily, so if you have an issue with oils on your face, this may aggravate you. Otherwise, it’s very protective and efficient.

    PROTECTS WITHOUT TOXIC CHEMICALS
    I have recently become more aware and concerned about the harmful/toxic chemicals in most popular sun screens. These Badger brand products protect my skin without any of the chemicals that are already banned in Europe.

    My skin is a bit problematic. I have tried many brands before. I spent a lot of money. I have noticed improvements in my skin since I started using this. Its texture is hard but it works. It is not synthetic, there is no perfume, the content is clean. It is absorbed by you

    Works, but strong smell
    I took to Mexico. I bought specifically for reefs. It’s great for traveling, and It does work. I never got burned. But the smell is too strong and off putting for me.

    Easy to use – clean ingredients
    Two year old loves this face stick. Easy to use and lasts a long time. We love it has clean ingredients too! A little on the expensive side but recommend for the clean ingredients and how well it works. We use it on the back of neck, ears, face, and sides of neck. Haven’t had to reapply earlier than about every 5/6 hours.
