Was not expecting the minty smell/sting!
I love everything Laura Geller so was excited to try out this LAURA GELLER NEW YORK Fine Shine Glossy Lip Oil (in the shade Sweet Pink)!I was super shocked as soon as I opened it I was hit with the smell of mint/menthol (it does have mentha in it which I didnât realize until after applying haha)! And then applying it, I do get that stinging âmentholâ sting ! Which isnât a deal breaker, just not my preference for lip oils!But, the lip oil really is nice and hydrating and leaves my lips glossy and moisturized. The âSweet Pinkâ isnât overly pink – just a subtle and pretty shade of pink!Iâm not sure I would order again – but as long as youâre ok with the menthol scent / sting, you should love it!

Really nice
I love this lip gloss. I layer it over some of my lipsticks to add a high shine, or sometimes I just wear it on its own. It’s hydrating and shiny, but not sticky. I had to do very minimal reapplication throughout the day. It’s super high quality, so I’d say it’s worth the price.

Lip Oil
To me, this lip oil feels like kind of a cross between a lip gloss and a lip oil. It is thicker than some other oils I have used, which I like. Itâs not quite as sticky as a traditional lip gloss can be. I have it in the clear color, and it leaves a nice shine on my lips. It offers nice hydration without feeling overly thick on my lips. As a side note, I also own the Julep clear lip oil, and I think itâs the exact same formula. They feel and smell the same, and other than having different color lids, the packaging is exactly the same. A little research told me the brands are owned by the same parent company, so I feel like they might be the exact same product. If youâre considering buying this one, I would buy the Julep one instead! The Julep one is priced at $12 and the Laura Geller one is priced at $19. For that reason, I subtracted a start from what would have otherwise been a 4 star product for me.
