Not as irritating as the mouthrinse version
The mouthrinse version of this actually burned my salivary glands and left them healing for a few days as a result. This version used with a water flosser didn’t cause that problem and initally worked better for my gum disease. Unfortunately, this didn’t completely remove the gum disease I had even after several uses. This does not mean this product does not work. It just means I have a different form of gum disease most likely not being caused by bacteria. This syrup also unfortunately left residue at the bottom of the water flosser container that cannot be removed with liquids or various cleaning solutions such as dish detergent, distilled white vinegar, and baking soda.

I have sensitive gums and have bought many dental products from Amazon. I ordered this expensive product with a water dental irrigator, also bought via Amazon. The irrigator came first and it did not work for me (in the 1st trial hurt my gum), so I returned it, the return worked fine. When this item (meant to be used with an irrigator) arrived I immediately returned it. This cause for return (no longer needed) had a 30% restocking fee (83.29$ out of 118.99$). Because the original bill I paid included the shipment (+ 22.49$), the “actual fee” escalated to 58.19$. In other words, I paid 141.48$ and received as return only 83.29$. This is quite very big difference, which I consider very unfair.
