Ten minutes of steam therapy
I’d like to give a big shout-out to the Vicks company. From their warm mist humidifiers, to their classic VapoRub, to the new product I just tried, the dissolving shower tablets (think VapoRub turned to steam in the shower), Vicks is letting me handle the remnants of my 2-1/2 weeks of flu, then a bad cold, without ingesting medications.I discovered that regular Theraflu, and Theraflu D made me very nauseated. One or more ingredients in the meds messed me up. I mean, they allowed me to breathe and not cough so much, but I wanted to stop taking them ASAP. Thanks, Vicks, for the external remedies.

When I smell VapoRub, I’m back in my old bedroom, & my mom is rubbing it under my nose, on on my throat. There’s a reason VapoRub has been around this long – it works. That includes these tablets in the shower. It helps when you have a cold.One thing – if you don’t use up the whole tablet when you take a shower, take it off the floor. I have a cat that loves to watch the water run down the shower wall, when I get out of the shower. I don’t imagine it’s a good thing for the cat to lick the VapoRub.

It worked great to clear my nose when i was sick
These Vicks VapoShower Plus tablets worked great to clear out my nose when I was sick with the flu. These tablets definitely did help open up my sinuses also. The actual scent of the tablets is pleasing. My only complaint would be that the actual tablets donât really last very long until theyâre totally dissolved when theyâre fully under the water from the shower faucet. So personally I ended up needing 3-4 tablets per shower. So just beware of that because I definitely expected the tablets to last longer. Overall, Iâm a very happy customer. These tablets do exactly what theyâre supposed to do. But I shouldnât be surprised because it is a âVicksâ product. So I will gladly give these Vicks VapoShower Plus tablets a 5 star review.

Breathe Easy⦠But Hurry
These shower steamers work wonders for clearing up sinusesâthe menthol and eucalyptus combo hits fast and makes you feel like you just walked into a spa (or a very fancy cough drop). The only downside? They dissolve faster than my motivation on a Monday morning. I wish they lasted longer, but while theyâre going, theyâre great. If you need a quick sinus-clearing boost, theyâre worth itâjust donât expect an all-day aromatherapy session.

Itâs nice⦠just not for everyone
So someone said that they could smell it from outside the package⦠I wasnât. I was able to get a slight whiff of it. Ever since Covid, I couldnât smell anything, and thatâs probably my issue.Being said, in the shower itâs more pronounced, but still not the same. I was expecting the VaboRub sensation where nothing isnât unclogged after you use it. I still had that same feeling, but it was definitely less noticeable. Best way to describe it is comparing it to a soda/ pop you had ice with, and now all the ice melted. Itâs still the drink, and itâs still cold, just not as strong as it was.Other issue is the duration. Itâs gone fast, and the hotter your water, the faster it melts. So if you like H O T showers, itâll only last 2-3 minutes if you have it directly bring hit with water.Another issue is the price. I think $1 for each one is a fair ask, and you use it every once in a while (even if not congested). Instead itâs $3, and it will be something I only use when Iâm sick due to its cost.Last issue is the packaging⦠do people normally have scissors in their shower? Itâs hard to open; especially if youâre wet.On the upside, even out of the shower it still giving that distinct Vicks sensation.

Vapor shower
I have bought so many of these for my family like extended family and people in other states.. These are great to use in the shower when youâre sick.! They actually really help! You can even put one on the floor of the shower turn on hot water and just let the steam fill up the bathroom even if youâre not taking a shower.

I like I idea of these for when you are unwell. However, practically speaking they don’t work very well. In order to get them to produce enough vapour you have to hold the shower head directly on the shower bomb and you have to have the shower on max heat, which makes it unboreable to stand under. Whilst the idea is good, the practical application doesn’t work well and its very expensive for the 5 mins it lasts.
