The immunity code represents a powerful paradigm shift to an immune centric approach aging and health, and how to slow it dramatically in easy, practical steps. A new era has arrived. It is an era where commonalities found in the physiology of the leanest, healthiest, and longest lived humans has been uncovered. The startling discovery is that many of these commonalities can be replicated by anyone, and quite easily. But the key is not found in fitness, or bodybuilding or weight loss, or anything we knew prior. The foundation is an immune centric approach to health and aging. The Immunity Code is simply a new paradigm and an entirely new way think about caring for the body. The new goal is learning to control key aspects of immunity, specifically immune cells called macrophages, to control health and aging. Using new science based techniques, hacks if you will, to steer immunity to slow and reverse aging and drive peak health, you will gain a power everyone seeks and so few find.

Don’t pass on this one! Definitely worth your time!
Just want to thank Joel for writing this book. It took me awhile to get through it since it is loaded with so much great information. I have a handicapped daughter and between both of us we have been through many diets, only for her to quit before we really were even started. We decided to try the Immune Centric Fat Loss plan which we found on the Veep Nutition Website as per the book. It has been a game changer for us. Not only have we lost weight but we are keeping it off. It’s definitely about the gut microbiome and my daughter is proof of it. My husband and I started the liver and gut protocol from the book along with our daughter and all three of us benefitted from it. Our daughter could never put even a 25 piece puzzle together and now she can put a 100 piece puzzle together. It may not seem like much to someone reading this but it means a ton to us. Passing this on also to our sons, one a former body builder and one a fire fighter. So grateful to you Joel for sharing all of your knowledge and thank you for caring for others! You are one of the best!!!

To all who have done it all in terms of diet and are still looking for answers
I first discovered this book by listening to a Ben Greenfield podcast a few weeks ago and I am so grateful for it. While listening to the podcast it was amazing how much I could relate to Joelâs ideas and explanations. I have done it all, from keto to no oil vegan to no gluten and dairy for 4 years to fasting 18 hours every day and 36 hours once a week. What I know for sure is that it all worked for a period of time and then the issues start, mainly extreme stomach âstate of not well beingâ as I like to call it and weight gain. So it was a relief to hear that it was not my fault. It was just the body doing what it is supposed to do. Something else that I knew for sure is that I felt the best when I was not on a particular diet. I am Bulgarian and I grew up on eating Bulgarian yoghurt and feta cheese and obscene amounts of bread, and honestly, that is when I felt the best.Listening the podcast and reading the book just validated my gut feeling that there is more to wellbeing than cutting a food group out of your diet. This book has so much knowledge and information in it that anyone who simply wants to live a healthier life really will find ideas and suggestions that will help achieve it.  As it is mentioned in the book, not everyone will do everything listed in the book, but it is the little things that add up over time. I would recommend this book for anyone who is ready to dispel the myths about nutrition and start to get a full understanding of gut bacteria and view the body as a whole, a complex system that cannot be fixed with calories in – calories out approach. This book is absolutely packed with so much information that it will take me a long time to take in but I am loving everything part of it.If you had been on the quest of health, wellbeing and optimal performance, I believe that you will really appreciate the book and almost not mind the few spelling mistakes :-).

Great content/ poor organization
This book is full of great information, many of which I am eager to implement and most of which is very simple. I love the focus on the connection between fat and immunity. Joel lays out a ton of great science and does a good job of interspersing the jargon with metaphors and examples. One thing I love about this book is the section on fat loss- Joel describes the years of yo-yo dieting that many of us have done, and how detrimental it is to us in the long run. Rather than âgetting back on trackâ Joel walks us through healing our gut and maximizing health and immunity, them weight loss, and then maintaining weight loss/ avoiding mechanisms that try to trigger weight regain.I do wish that this book had been better edited and better organized. There are typos throughout and the information sort of jumps all over the place. Perhaps a second edition will come with a better layout?Overall I do recommend the book for the content and will come back to it as I work through the protocols.

A wealth of knowledge!
I found Joel on Instagram after he posted the Apple peel protocol. I immediately started listening to several podcasts that he was on. The Ben Greenfield (3 part) podcast was amazing and I decided to buy Joelâs book. I read the book in about 3 days. The book is really well written and very informative! Itâs not a diet, itâs a whole new way of thinking. Especially for me since I have been carnivore for over 3 years. I had a lot of gut issues before I started carnivore and I think that carnivore alleviated a lot of the symptoms but didnât really heal the issues. I also think that avoiding so many foods for so long actually didnât help me in the long run.I would highly recommend the book to anyone!I also wanted to mention that I had a few questions and texted Joel on Instagram. I got a response back the same day. He took the time to send me several messages back. I think thatâs very impressive and says a lot about the person he is! Itâs not just about selling a book.

Great Book – Lots of Information
Some have complained because of how this book is organized into small little snippet sections. I like it for that reason! The author communicates well and does not waste words so I actually like the small section-type organization. This book is PACKED with very sound, easily executable, and accurate information!

Good content but poor delivery
The content is good but the book needs some heavy editing. Iâm 99% certain that there is a typo on page 32, which affects the protocol so I messaged the author and havenât gotten a response. I guess once youâve paid for the book youâre on your own! Iâm interested to see how his recommendations work in practice though… it makes sense, but I just canât get past all the typos and incorrect grammar! I also wish it would say âdo thisâ and then âeat a normal mealâ or âthis is all you should eat for [whatever meal]â or âyou can eat this in combo with your normal mealâ… itâs lacking specificity in a lot of areas.

Amazing book, which provides unparalleled insights about the body. The information goes really deep and explains cutting edge science I rarely heard of anywhere else. Reading all of those things really was a pleasure for me. I even reread most of the chapters once or twice, because they have a nice density of information. Also there are a lot of practical routines and advice I started trying about two month ago.My wife and I both try it out since then. She keeps losing weight and I keep gaining muscle. Really fascinating. The only difference between us is, that she’s eating more chocolate. I didn’t think that this is possible on about the same amount of calories and protein.

This book is the real thing! You will learn about what really happens inside your body when you lose weight. He explains the importance of losing fat too and that makes you understand why you need to stick with it.There is a lot of garbage out there that is not sustainable unless your job is to exercise! The content is complex but it is written in a way that you can understand. There is so much science behind what Joel has written and he actually understands it…thoroughly! He doesn’t just quote stuff because it sounds good. Also he has an online fat loss program that I have lost weight on. I finished it and went on holidays for 5 days and gained 1 pound back! Just 1! He has you do things that help heal the body.Yes, there are grammar mistakes and awkward sentences but this book is so much more than a few silly errors!

I loved Joel Greenes overall thinking regarding immunity, general health and well-being and has complete overview of this. His gut biome understanding is on another level and probably 10 years ahead of the rest of the pack.

I highly recommend the Immunity Code Book to anyone who is interested in enhancing their health and understanding truthfully how our bodies function. NO BABY TALK!!!I have bought and read quite a number of books in related to nutrition, ketogenic diets and intermittent fasting past few years. Since most people highly advocate intermittent fasting and claiming that it could improve our health in many aspects, I therefore embraced this âlifestyleâ since last year. I first enjoyed a month or two with less inflammation and bloating. As time goes by with extended fasting hours, my joints started to aches more and sleep was seriously disturbed. In addition, I suffered severe coldness that drives me into anxiety. Why am I not enjoying all the benefits of fasting like others?I am very glad to come across this book written by Joel Greene. He is truly a pioneer in biohacking . Joel explained very well in his book the importance of a balance diet, extremity would induce illness in a long run. What we benefit from totally eliminating some food categories or extensive fasting in the beginning would result in serious health âconsequencesâ in later days!I have incorporated the 2 days core program and other key protocols in his book. Not only my inflammation started to heal, my sleep is now back to normal by eating resistant starch as suggested by Joel. What , when and How are all imperative for better health!!
