Covergirl Outlast is a shockingly good brand. My first experience with lip stain was a free Stila one, which I loved. When it ran out, I was unwilling to pay over $20 for a new lip stain and started trying other cheap brands. Covergirl outlast has been the best. The others I tried were Colourpop (good but felt a bit more dry and slightly more crumbly towards the end of wearing it) and L.A. Girl, which was a beautiful color but started to bleed a bit around the edges of my lips. After wearing Covergirl outlast lips tains for a year, I finally caved and bought a Stila lip stain for $24. It’s very nice but I am realizing now that my Covergirl Outlast stains have all been BETTER in a few consistent ways.-The Stila color stays on my lips for the majority of the day but it starts to fade a bit by the end of the day. My Covergirl stains stay on the entirety of the day, and Brazen Raisin specifically doesn’t fade at all. I put it on one morning, ate, drank, kissed, went to sleep and woke up and it had faded only a little since the morning before. I lent it to someone who loved the color and she was amazed.-The color doesn’t run at all. With pretty much every brand I’ve ever tried, if I miss a spot and go to add to it, I inevitably create a section where two layers overlap and that spot is a bit darker than the others. With Covergirl Outlast somehow this doesn’t occur. I’ve tried 3 colors and again I think Brazen Raisin went on the most evenly but all look very smooth with very little effort or expertise.Only Con: There are a lot of great colors that other companies have that Covergirl Outlast doesn’t offer.For the ones it does offer, however, it is consistently the easiest for me to apply, and it stays more fully on the longest of any lipstick or lip stain I have ever tried. Also, it is literally the only lip stain I’ve ever used that doesn’t leave a single mark on my cups, and if I wipe my mouth lightly with a paper towel it doesn’t leave a mark there either. I can run my finger back and forth over my lip and none of the color comes off on my finger, and the color on my lip isn’t impacted at all. I have to scrub to get it fully off. Using coconut oil makes it easier.*Edited* to add picture of Brazen Raisin after 8+ hours of wear and a shower.

I want to say first off, that this is one of the better lip stains I’ve used. One application (when done correctly) lasts me about 10-12 hours. That being said, other customers should take note that when first applying the lip stain, it is imperative that your lips are bare and DRY. After applying the stain, you should keep your lips parted for at least a minute, I generally go as far as two. It is a tad uncomfortable, but I’ve found that if you do not wait until the stain dries completely or if your lips (including the corners) touch before it is dry, parts of your lips will look “flakey”. The moisturizing half of the product works great, and gives your lips a very sexy shine. Do note that the color (and I imagine this is probably the case for all the colors available) will be about a shade or two darker on your lips than how the picture looks. Overall, well worth the drying process and cost, my lips look great throughout the day and a lasting 10-12 hours is better than I can say for any other lip balm I’ve used.
