Amazing product, fast-working and effective
Just wow! I’ve had hormonal acne since I was a preteen and I’m in my lazy 20s now, and was almost resigned to just having acne breakouts for the rest of my life. I got this as a spot treatment for cystic acne but it’s helped clear all of my breakouts. I’ve only been using it for three days and my skin is clearer than it’s ever been. It isn’t oily and dries quickly, and it has a light burning sensation for about 5-10 minutes after application which I’ve found is usual of BP products. Literally the next day after using this product I could see my acne shrinking. I’ve had a cystic acne spot that’s hung around for weeks and after three days it’s almost completely flat.I was really on the fence about buying this product because all of the negative reviews, but I did a skin test before using it. Based on the reviews, I would recommend skin testing for five days â first on a spot below the neck (I did chest), and then a discrete spot near where you want to use it (I did side of neck). I expect 2x treatment will eventually start to make my skin dry and flaky, so I anticipate switching to 1x or every other day usage once my breakouts are under control. I absolutely recommend this product but don’t leap straight into putting it on your face!

Works Great, even on my aging and somewhat sensitive skin, not overly drying
At 50, I swear I have more acne now than I did as a teen. I’ve really been struggling with my face lately so I pulled this product out of my bin to revisit. Previously I only used it for spot treatments and it was fine, but this time I really needed to use this product on my entire face as the acne was everywhere. I have somewhat sensitive skin, and usually when I introduce a new product for the first time, I break out in a rash around my mouth/chin/upper lip area. A tiny bit goes a long, long way. Even though I applied this everywhere, I never broke out in a rash – anywhere. Since I started using my face has improved drastically. My skin is really soft too. I’ve been using it about every other day, every day in areas of bad breakouts, and have not experienced any dryness either. There is some scent that I think comes from the active ingredient but I don’t find it to be very bothersome or strong. I came here to purchase more and am sad that it’s not available at the time of my review. I hope that they have not discontinued the product as I really like it and it’s helped a lot.

This product works great in combination with other acne products
I have very stubborn cystic acne on my nose. Itâs the only place on my face where I get recurrent cysts. Itâs the only place I really get acne. While I donât experience discoloration, I do get really uneven, unsightly texture. Dermatologists have prescribed thousands of dollars of medication which worked temporarily, but then my acne returned. I have been desperately searching for products to incorporate into my skin care routine to keep the breakouts at bay consistently.I read the reviews for this product and decided to give it a try. On its own it didnât do much for my cystic acne. But I decided to apply this product in combination with a few others that give me some but not complete acne relief. First, I washed my face with the Tree Active exfoliating pads. Then I mixed equal parts of this product with a 2.5% hydrocortisone cream and applied a light even coat to my acne. I topped it off with my Tree Active cystic acne spot treatment (which gives me noticeable results but never completely clears my acne). I wore the mask overnight then washed it off in the morning. To my surprise 90% of my cystic acne was no longer visibly present! I was shook! This product wasnât quite enough alone but itâs an amazing compliment to a good skin care routine.

I love this product b/c it actually works! I also love that one bottle has lasted me almost three years even though I use it on a regular basis. I bought my first bottle in July of 2020 and itâs still not empty. Iâm ordering another bottle to be delivered tomorrow, May 2023, b/c I donât want to run out. The exp date on the bottom of my current bottle says 01/2022 but I donât feel that itâs lost any effectiveness so Iâm using it until itâs gone. I donât suffer from acne on my entire face. Itâs mainly just my chin and forehead due to hormones. I use it whenever I see or feel the start of a breakout. Some people have said itâs just a spot treatment but b/c my chin seems to breakout more than anywhere else I typically use a thin layer across my entire chin. Sometimes it burns a little and turns a little red when it first goes on, and does dry the skin a little too but thatâs the point. A little definitely goes a long way so maybe the people that have had bad reactions just made the mistake of using too much. If youâre trying to decide whether or not to take a chance on this product just do it. Youâll be glad you did! 🙂
