Carolina Castile Soap prides itself on using the highest quality ingredients that prioritize gentleness on skin and hair. The best soap I ever used!
I have tried many, upon many different bar and body washes over the years, many left me with very dry, itchy skin. I seen this one, decided to give it a try. This is the best soap I have ever used in my life time! I tried this as shampoo and for shaving also, even decided to wash my laundry using this soap, all with excellent results! My skin felt well moisturized, smooth and clean. It rinses clean no residue, no sticky feeling. I HIGHLY recommend this soap!My three lady friends really like it too, one forgot her shower supplies one night staying over, and she used mine and loved it, and has since purchased the lavender scent one and raves about it to me.The scent is light and lasts quite awhile. I wish they offered the Bay Rum scent in the gallon size, but for now IDC I am still going to buy it no matter what! I hope they never change their ingredients (maybe a little more fragrance added) or the process in which they make their soap, because I am finally happy with a soap and will always and only buy this soap from now on.

Good stuff
Of course, you want to know how it compares to the long-time mainstay. Compared to good old Dr. B, it’s…different. But very nice. Both are high-quality, organic soaps. Soap is a very personal thing, so keep that in mind. You’re basically comparing a coconut/palm oil soap (Dr. B) with an olive/coconut soap (Carolina). My hope was that the Carolina Castile Soap would be less drying to skin, making it comfortable for shaving and shampoo. I can say that for these uses, Carolina Castile Soap delivers.Compared to ordinary shampoo, for me, olive castile feels a little “gummy” going on. I ignore that – it’s because it isn’t sucking the oil out of my hair. When it dries, my hair feels good, clean, and my scalp remains comfortable for days. Very good for a general-purpose soap! Less need for expensive specialty organic shampoos. For shaving, I find it excellent. Dr. B works well as a shave soap, too, but the Carolina is easier on my skin. Wet shaving is a super-individual thing. My preference is for fast-and-easy, and castile soaps are great for this. A dollop of soap in my palm, roll the damp brush in it, then build the lather on my face. A little sudsy, not Santa Claus. Some say this stuff is harsh if you get it in your eyes. That’s probably true, so don’t do that! It’s castile soap, not baby shampoo! I’ve used both the lavender and the peppermint versions, and they both feel great and give an excellent shave. Is it delicate enough for your nether regions? Well, that depends a lot on your local water, and your regions. I find it gentler than Dr. B, but our water is hard…real hard. By the time it reaches the tap, our water’s done a couple of years in juvy, and is lookin’ at time for Grand Theft Auto. So, dependin’, you might want to keep your beauty bar around for that sort of thing.Smell is a very personal thing, so YMMV. I like the Carolina scents. Different from Dr. B, but good. The olive oil in the base affects things, a little. Coconut/palm is probably a wee bit more neutral, but we’re not talkin’ pasta, here. I buy this as soap, not perfume, so I’ll trade a few flowers for happier skin. All in all, the Carolina Castile Soap company is producing some very nice stuff. Worth checking out. A little competition in the castile soap market isn’t a bad thing. Dr. B still makes great products (including toothpaste and detergent) and is always fun to read, in that VW microbus kinda way. But Carolina is the real deal, too, and worthy of a place on your shelf.

Wow – I’m seriously a fan; my new laundry detergent!
I’ve recently started moving away from normal commercial cleaners and trying to replace them with all-natural and non-toxic options. I’ve read a lot of good stuff about castile soap and how versatile it is for various cleaning needs. Initially I started off with some REALLY popular castile soap I purchased at walmart, but honestly the values of that other company worry me (as they’re written all over the label!) and I wanted to move to something more associated w/small and local business instead. I started researching and found this Carolina Castile Soap company and thought I’d give it a try. I’m a Carolina girl too and it just makes sense to keep my dollars here in the local economy. Yes – it is slightly more expensive than the other stuff, but I love the quality of this soap and the price difference is worth it. So far I’ve tried the peppermint one and the sage & lime; sage & lime almost has like a melaleuca smell to it – I LOVE IT!Currently we use the peppermint castile soap in the shower (we dilute it down to about 1/2 soap 1/2 water) and it does wonders on sebhorreic dermatitis outbreaks on the face. I’ve also replaced my laundry detergent with the sage & lime variety. I dilute it down to 1/2 soap and 1/2 water and use a 1/4 C for normal loads; for super dirty/sweaty loads (or dog blankets) I use a 1/4 C non-diluted.It is so nice to wash with soap that isn’t toxic and offers a fantastic smell that isn’t harmful to your health. Also – loving the fact that this helps local small business. Too the multiplicity of uses for this stuff boggles my mind! This is definitely my favorite soap now! I highly recommend.

Our favorite hand soap
great hand soap, body wash, shampoo and the scent is very nice; if you’re thinking of buying it the ingredients are Organic Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Organic Cocos Nucifera (coconut) Oil, Potassium Hydroxide, Fragrance, Organic Theobroma Cacao (cocoa) Seed Butter, Aleurites Moloccana (Kukui Nut) Seed Oil, Citric Acid, and Tocopherol (Vitamin E); my only issue is the Fragrance i.e., synthetically createdinstead of Essential Oil, a natural scent extracted from plants

Eccellente sapone liquido a base di oleo. Credo sia autentico. In più, l’odore a oleo rancio, come in altre marche, non esiste.

Smells beautiful. Would buy again.

I use it to make handwash liquid and household cleaner, it does not dry my hands. Also, I add it to my laundry along with washing detergent, washing soda and tea tree oil/eucalyptus oil, the results are good and smell good.

I was surprised when my order arrived. I was not expecting such a big bottle. So a great price for the size of the bottle. Reading the label there are so many uses for this product. I purchased it to soak and wash my painting brushes. I had read how olive oil soap help moisturize your brushes after a painting session. I may use it for other purchases now that I see how versatile it is.
