Classic clean fragrance!
This fragrance is light and fresh, it is a classic and the beautiful glass bottle looks beautiful alongside my other perfume bottles, perfect scent for a relaxing weekend, the office, or church. Not too strong to be overwhelming but light and pleasant

Smells wonderful
This is a light floral scent, feminine, maybe a tad grassy, a little like Bluebell. I smelled a magnolia once but I don’t really remember the scent. Seems like it was a bit piney with a floral note. Can’t say this smells like magnolia to me, but it smells great. It’s more like a splash so I give it about 10 squirts and it stays with me all day. Never heavy. Doesn’t deteriorate into an unpleasant smell late in the day as some do. It’s nothing like the regular 4711 which is like a neroli, orange blossom and lemon kind of thing. One of the first kind of scents from a couple hundred years ago. The magnolia is of a totally different era of course. I think it would make a nice gift when something nice but not costly is appropriate.

Nice fragrance, too fleeting
4711 Eau de cologne is actually a fragrance introduced to me by my mother, who immigrated to the USA from Hungary in 1939. I believe she used it in Hungary, or at least somewhere in Europe; then, briefly, in New York, where I got to know it. I used it again for a while much, much later, in the later 1980s or the ’90s. I have received several compliments on it. It is a light citrus scent, with herbal or woodsy notes. (By the way, I am female.) I started using it again because it is less expensive than another fragrance I like. My only complaint, which I have seen in other reviews, is that the scent does not linger on the skin for very long. This problem has worsened since the 20th century. The product was shipped promptly and arrived in good condition.

SCENT DISAPPEARS IMMEDIATELY FROM SKIN
Don’t buy from this seller! I don’t think this is the real product. The scent is amazing, but not accurate and it LITERALLY LEAVES YOUR SKIN THE SECOND YOU APPLY IT. I am not kidding. It smells strong in the bottle and then immediately disappears after you apply it. I am so angry at myself for wasting money on this. I dabbed a little on my skin and i was actually SHOCKED that my nose could not pick up a single trace of it after.

it does not smell like magnolia. there is a faint vague smell which does not last even five minutes on the skin. i wonder if the product is authentic. Last week i had purchased 4711 Lilac which is very nice and long lasting. So i purchased also the 4711 Magnolia but it is absolutely a waste of money.

Not the magnolia scent I thought it would be, but really nice. A lot of reviews say the scent doesnât last, but it lasted all day for me.I think I have another favourite. I wish I knew what the other scents are like, because I would purchase more.
