Very beautiful greige that’s not a dupe for anything.
My favorite lip color is Tarte’s Texas Toast, a limited edition color designed by an Internet star. Being limited edition, one can’t get it in stores anymore, and the website limits you to only buying one at a time. It’s my perfect “your lips but better” color, so I’ve managed to hoard three, and hopefully they’ll have more free shipping days so I can get another while it exists-but soon, it will be no more.Everything I love gets discontinued.So, I’m looking for a dupe, preparing for the fateful day my fav lippie is gone. The makeup gurus pointed me towards Matbelline’s Gone Griege and I even saw a video where it was supposed to be exact. Well, they are wrong, it’s not even close to a dupe, it’s much darker. But not only do I like it as much as Texas Toast, i like it more. It’s prettier, more glamorous and interesting.Tarte’s product makes my lips look like I’m barely wearing anything, just more defined and smooth, and Gone Greige is a much darker, more noticeable color. It’s a perfect greige that I think would work with many skin tones. It’s lot better than the browns that were the trend a while back but still gives that dark natural lip effect.Like all Maybelline, it’s moisturizing, and very comfortable to wear. It is not a long-lasting lipstick but good enough. What I’ve been doing is using the Texas Toast for running around, and putting the Gone Greige over it for a sexier lip later and reapplying as needed. But I often wear the Maybelline alone and I get several hours without fading and no streaking.This is a beautiful color and if you haven’t tried a griege before and like neutral color lips, give this a go.Of course, I’m going to have to start stocking up on Gone Greige, because now that I fell in love with it, it’s sure to be discontinued. If like me, you try it and love it, get a couple extra tubes, because without a doubt, I’m the black thumb of makeup products.

It’s not the same as 140 Fuchsia Fever
It’s ok but has more yellow in it than what I wanted. I’m trying to match an old Maybelline 140 Fuchsia fever and haven’t been able to find the color anymore. This was the closest I could get to it. I WISH I COULD STILL BUY 140 FUCHSIA FEVER!

Pretty color
I absolutely love this color for fall and winter. I generally get several compliments when I ware it. I first purchased this color in a drug store. When I went back to get more I couldn’t find it. So I took a chance on here. There it was. I hope when I go to get more it will be here.

No staying power
When I received this lip color I noticed the color name on the packaging. Copper rose didnât seem like something Iâd order because of the âcopperâ, however, âroseâ would be a color I was open to. I wondered if there was a mistake, but upon seeing the order and the listing, this is absolutely the shade I ordered. The actual shade of this is a bit more coppery than I would have liked. With that said, it doesnât scream âCOPPERâ. The rose gives it more of a natural look. I would have liked a bit more rose, I think, though the color is nice. I do like the color, but it may take some getting used to. Iâm wondering if Iâm too fair and cool to wear this. The listing photos make this look so lovely on all skin tones. I may have to mix this with another color at least until I get used to it. It feels ok when wearing. Itâs not drying and I canât really feel it on my lips. I was looking forward to the beautiful rosy color I thought I was getting.Update Not long lasting, but the color is growing on me. Iâm giving three stars because it has no staying power.

I like how easy it is to apply and how it doesn’t hurt your lips like most matte blacks do. It doesn’t last all day, but if you wanted that you could easily get it in a different product.
