Love anise flavor!
This is my favorite flavor of Dr. Bronner’s toothpastes, it’s a lovely anise. Cleans and refreshes with nothing toxic (I was horrified reading ‘do not swallow’ on commercial toothpastes when my son was young – eewww let’s poison ourselves and our children!).

Best clean for your teeth!
If you like black licorice this is the only toothpaste you will ever want to use again. I have tried other natural toothpaste and this is the only one that I would even consider using again. I have been using this toothpast on and off for a couple of years (mostly by I have to order online and can’t just pickup in the store) and it is wonderful. I have never loved a toothpaste, but this is incredible. And no, I am not getting paid for my review or get anything free, I just really like this product. I do use Dr. Bonners for most of the cleaners and soaps in my house so I am a fan of the brand, but this toothpaste does the best at getting your teeth clean. You may need to use a bit more than other brands but it is worth it for the way your teeth feel when your done. And it is definitely true to the black licorice flavor. If you like black licorice and you are considering this, GO FOR IT! You’ll love it.

Another great Dr Bronner product! This is one terrific toothpaste!
I’ve used Dr Bronner’s soap for years but never knew they made a toothpaste. Like the soap, there are no harmful ingredients, only the basics.Works wonderfully, gets your teeth super clean. Very gentle and good flavor. Three flavors: peppermint, anise and cinnamon. I like anise. The peppermint is good, not too strong.I’m thrilled with this discovery. Dr Bronner has always produced a quality product, good for your health. This toothpaste is no exception. Lowers the toxic load to your body and gets your teeth really clean! Will definately buy again

NO RETURNS
I bought a bunch of different non-mint toothpastes to try, after finally realizing that they must contain some of my allergens: mainly limonene and its related terpene, carvone. After *extensive* research I knew limonene was in citrus peels, dill, caraway, elemi extract, spearmint & peppermint, black pepper oil, eucalyptus and fennel. (It turns out that there’s nowhere on the Internet that reverse-indexes plants by terpene, so it’s hard to research.)But I’m quite fond of licorice, anise wasn’t on The List, and I figured I could try it and return if I was wrong… not paying super close attention to the return policy of every single thing I was ordering because I had ordered a bunch of stuff, and isn’t that supposed to be a key perk of ordering from Amazon?Now I realized that my gums hurt after using this one, and digging into the internet I discovered that anise has small amounts of… you guessed it, limonene. But I can’t return it and no one else in the house will use it because it’s fluoride-deficient!I always loved Dr. Bronner’s – ya know, before I realized that peppermint is evil to me – but now, I’ll never buy this brand again. You HAVE to let people return products due to allergic reaction. It’s expensive enough living The Allergy Life without companies refusing returns.”ALL ONE ALL ONE,” my heiny. Not overwhelming. Not a very fresh taste, so some may not like it. ,

Doesn’t foam up horribly, like toothpaste; but still has a significant amount of paste to brush with.The Anise taste is really pleasant and refreshing.Great quality. Not turning back to regular toothpaste.
