So I have a 14 yr old cat. She’s always suffered from throwing up. So no matter what food I gave her throughout the day. I tried every type of canned food even Blue. Recently I tried making her homemade cat food and it stopped except for late at night to early in the morning. Until she got bored with the homemade cat food, so I switched to fresh pet. Still throwing up late at night to early in the morning (painful kind) and then she started losing weight. She’s a very nervous cat and at times I heard her stomach gurgling. I have done at lot of research because I love my cat and started to think worst case but found these chews for your cats gut health. I gave one to her and she loved it. I gave another the next day early in the morning and then gave her, her fresh pet food. No throwing up!! After a month I’ll leave an update review. So far amazing!!

It Works For My Dog!
Note That This Is In Capsule Form!!I adopted a young dog from the animal shelter 6 weeks ago, and the poor thing had constant loose stools/diarrhea despite all my efforts. I used several rounds of cooked rice and chicken blended in the blender with only temporary success.I have purchased 3 types of probiotics to experiment with here on Amazon, and this is the first to be tested. Within 24 hours he was much improved. It has been a week now, and although his stools are not totally solid/dry, they are much better.He has some skin irritations which have not changed with the use of this product, but perhaps that condition will improve with time.The capsule form is messy to give him in peanut butter, and his appetite is inconsistent, ie: he may or may not finish a certain amount of food he is given at any one time. A powdered form of probiotic sprinkled onto his food might lead to inconsistent administration of the “good stuff” unless I mixed it into a small amount of soft food first. I simply press two capsules into a teaspoon of peanut butter and he swallows it all whole. Of course, Pill Pockets would work too.UPDATE #1: Use caution when handling this product–It looks like any other white capsule. I take an almost identical probiotic myself, and this morning I mixed them up and mistakenly took the VertriScience! This afternoon I found myself in the middle of the street licking myself and a car came around the corner and almost hit me!Update #2I purchased 3 probiotics from Amazon for my dogs [3 pooches; 2 with moderate to severe diarrhea]:VetriScience Laboratories Mega ProbioticDoggone Best Products ProbioticsNucleOtics ProbioticsVertiScience made a definite improvement, but the capsules were difficult as one of my dogs will spit them out or did not eat them if mixed in the food. Pill Pockets are expensive, and peanut butter is messy. The other option is to open them up and sprinkle the contents on the food. But why then have a capsule, which is an extra cost?Next I used the Doggone Best, which is a loose powder. The digestive health continued without change. I only used about 2/3 of the 8 ounce jar before experimenting with NucleOtics.NucleOtics has a lot of yeast, and is only 2.12 ounces. Again, a loose powder with a tiny scoop. The loose stools returned, but not bad as before starting, but bad enough that I went back to The Doggone Best.My conclusion is that Doggone Best is the choice for me, although VetriScience is a good product.. Doggone offers good value for an effective product. The drawback is the scoops in Doggone and NucleOtics are tiny—easily lost in the jar, and a lot of powder ends up on one’s hands. I suggest that you get an idea of how much product is right for your dog—using the scoops provided a few times, then toss them and simply sprinkle the powder on the food. Adding some water or canned food to kibble will help it stick and be consumed by your dog[s].Overall, mark me a big believer in probiotics for dogs!

Can’t return if you pet hates it
I got the capsules and my cats won’t eat it, even when mixed into their usual wet food (the same food they get daily and love). They will eat other probiotics that way, and this one doesn’t seem to have a smell, or any flavor added, but whatever it is, they immediately hated it. They smelled the wet food I put it in and walked away. Then one came back and ate a few bites then walked away and has refused to eat any food with this in it since then.If I had been able to return it I wouldn’t be leaving a bad review, but since the company refuses to take it back, just know you are stuck with it if your pet doesn’t like it or has a bad reaction after consuming it.

Several months ago, Simon became a bit grumpy and withdrawn, nothing particularly intense or concerning, and we assumed it was due to the new cat. He also would occasionally sit in the bathroom and yell for no reason, and have extra stinky poops. I decided to try probiotics for him and within 48 hours he was the cat we knew and loved again: outgoing, over-the-top affectionate, super chatty. I can only assume he was in discomfort, and I only wish I’d tried them sooner.Cons: availability may be an issue. When I went to order more, they were unavailable. They were back a week later, but it makes me a bit nervous.

Super! Not exactly cheap, but after getting a super skinny poorly rescue dog with some really unhealthy bowel movements, someone recommended pro-biotics for him. So, seeing as it is a medication and not cheap I did some serious and lengthy reading and research! I found this product seemed to be the only one with evidence that the bacteria reaches the gut, or in fact even contains active bacteria, most products only contain yeast and other chemicals to encourage gut health. Anyway, after extensive reading decided this was the product for my boy. He was struggling to put on weight, and like I said earlier, his bowels were far from healthy and there was the occasional incident of him eating his own poo (I know, revolting, I was horrified, but again, reading and research – it’s actually a natural habit that’s formed with dogs evolving as scavengers, and they will eat literally anything containing undigested protein and goodness, and doing this is symptomatic of deficiency of something in the diet or a problem where food is not being digested by the gut properly). He’s been on two a day (as he’s a big boy and that’s the recommendation dose for his weight) for about a month now, and he has been putting weight on at a much healthier rate, and his bowel movements are so much healthier, I’m definitely going to continue him on them as the evidence out there suggests they are genuinely helpful for dogs, and they’ve definitely stabilised my boys bowels!

These chews are great, my cats love them. I previously bought powdered probiotics which they refused despite mixing in with their food. Great price. Will definitely be re-purchasing. Treat and probiotic I one!
