Tips to get the most from BURST Expanding Floss from a dental hygienist
Gather 12-16 inches of floss around your middle finger, and a few inches around the other middle fingerPinch the floss with your thumbs and pointer fingers securely, leaving about an inchGlide the floss between each tooth and make your way toward the gumlineAt the gumline, make sure the floss “hugs” the tooth in a C-shape, allowing it to disappear right under the gums.Move the floss up and down the length of each tooth 3-4 times, scraping the plaque from the sides of the tooth.

These results were collected in December 2019 by Prof. Dr. h.c. Peter Gängler, Dr. Tomas Lang and Dr. Karl W. Weich and compiled in the report “Interdental Removal of Simulated Plaque with an Expanding Black Mint Dental Floss Compared to Traditional Floss” (J Dent Hyg 2020; 94(5):53)
**The BURST Sonic Toothbrush removes up to 10x more plaque, provides healthier gums in 2 weeks, and reduces bleeding gums 3x after 30 days compared to a manual toothbrush as shown in two independent, 30-day single-blind clinical studies of 92 and 97 healthy subjects, respectively, with mild-moderate levels of plaque and gingivitis. The subjects brushed twice daily using a fluoride toothpaste with either a manual toothbrush (control group) or with the BURST Sonic Toothbrush (experimental group). These results were collected in Aug 2019 by Salus Research, Inc. and All Sum Research Center Ltd. in compliance with ICH Good Clinical Practices (GCP) including the archiving of essential documents and compiled in the report “Plaque and Gingivitis Efficacy of a Sonic Toothbrush: Two Thirty-Day Independent Studies” (PTB-001-2019 & PTB-002-2019).

I really like the way this floss expands to get more plaque between my teeth from other flosses. My wife said she flossed, brushed, and flossed with burst and got more debris out. Added bonus, being black threads you can see when you are being effective.

Original review: One of the 3 bags of floss was already torn open with a section of the floss hanging out. Other 2 bags were intact. It seems like the bag has been torn open and the floss used already, then returned.Edited review: Asked Amazon for a replacement and received replacement. After actually using the floss, will say that it works well for removing nastiness from in-between teeth – good friction and I can visually see all the gunk pulled out. After going all around in the mouth, there is a very faint plastic kind of taste for which I took off one star.

As Iâve aged, my gums are receding on all my teeth. Stuff gets stuck in them and skinny floss doesnât do anything. This stuff is thick and works so well. Canât recommend enough if you have lots of space between teeth. My dental hygienist recommended it.
