From two premiere anti-aging coaches with years of hands-on experience, Lisa and John take you on a journey not only into the science behind longevity but also to explore other influences that may be undermining how well you age. From Macroscopic to the microscopic and beyond The Anti-Aging Revolution guides you on your path to a brighter, healthier lifespan.
In this book you’ll learn:
1.) How your identity and mindset can affect your anti-aging destiny. Mindset is the one thing that will make or break your ability to grow younger.
2.) How culture (your family, neighborhood, work environment, etc.) can directly affect your biology as well as epigenetic functioning in ways you would never have thought possible.
3.) How the scientific paradigm about aging is changing and how some scientists believe that science will one day ‘cure’ aging. The technology is now available to combat aging and the steps you can take right now to slow the aging process down and, in some cases, reverse it.
4.) Exciting new medical advances that will shape how we treat aging in the future. Citing recent studies and leaders in the field, including Dr. David Sinclair, Dr. Robert Wallace, Dr. Steven Gundry, and Dan Buettner The Anti-Aging Revolution testifies that we’re not helpless in the face of aging and the so-called age-related diseases, and that opening our minds to the shifting paradigm can put us on a path to a brighter future than ever imagined.

multifaceted approach blending personal anecdotes, scientific research & philosophical frameworks
This book offers a fresh and insightful perspective on aging, going beyond the usual diet and exercise advice. I especially appreciated the discussion of Ken Wilber’s quadrants of human existence and how they relate to our individual beliefs about aging. The authors do a great job of breaking down complex scientific concepts, like the nine hallmarks of aging, into easy-to-understand language. What I found most helpful was the detailed section on supplements; it’s not just a list of vitamins and minerals but a thoughtful explanation of how each supplement can combat aging at the cellular level. Highly recommend this book for anyone looking to improve their health and increase their lifespan!

A popular saying goes “we are what we eat” and this book exemplifies it very accordingly.
In addition to the extensive vocabulary, bibliography and glossary of terms contained in this extraordinary book, it teaches us in a different way how to take care of our body from now on to reach a healthier old age. Although it is true that it is designed for the third age, should those of us who are beginning to begin the coming years care a lot about what or how we eat better? How do we harm our body less? which was given to us to preserve it, cultivate it, exalt it day by day and yet we insist on filling it with harmful loads that only damage its physiology. On the contrary, cultivating it is our best choice in terms of exercising it (yoga, pilates, etc) and providing it with nutrients according to the nature that created us, not to go overboard with excesses that only damage its structure. Achieving “balance” is the most important thing, accompanied by good prayer, meditation and cultivation of the physical and spiritual being, will undoubtedly make an older body in the future without much damage from the passage of time, more harmonious. Highly recommended. Thank you, especially also for the bibliography.

Informative, Enjoyable Read
An enjoyable, informative read which combines well documented scientific based research with anecdotal life experiences of the authors. Dicusses many things folks can do to slow down the aging process – diet, exercise, reducing stress, building social friendships, and taking part in activities that keep the mind learning and growing. Lots of good information shared in a very logical, readable, fun book.

Want to live longer and have a healthier life?
Want to live a longer and healthier life? As a recent member of the “senior citizen” society, I am now morefocused on maintaining and improving my quality of life. In their book “The Anti-Aging Revolution”, LisaWest and John Humphries have compiled a variety of strategies to slow down and in some cases reverse the negative effects of aging. This is a well-written book, firmly based on scientific research, which explains how diet, exercise, and the use of dietary supplements can be combined to produce not just a longer life span, but a healthier you as well. The authors both have backgrounds in science and fitness and they cite their own personal experiences as part of their anti-aging journey. The book is very readable and gathers together, in one place, a wealth of information about health and wellness. This book can lead you on a path to a healthier life if you so choose. Certainly “food” for thought… Now it’s up to you!Cheryl Gavlas

A new approach that really spoke to *me*
I was interested as soon as I saw what look like a nod to evolutionary studies.. Yet I got the book because I just turned 70 and, Iâve been in serious pain since I was about 43.As a young girl and for years afterwards I loved to dance and at parties and weddings Iâd dance all night. I also walked all the time. Iâd had pain in my joints and muscles before, yet by the late 1990s I was unable to function like before .. I was fatigued and in pain. I wanted to quit my job but could not afford to. I finally did quit after being hit by a car and thrown several feet. I was and still am on pon medicine and am doing limited exercises. There are many books for seniors who want to improve their health and mobility. But somehow, *this* book has *different* strategies and speaks to us realistically, as human beings with fears and hopes, habits that may or may not be healthy, people who may be trying to improve their health and those of us who have all but given up.I love that the authors covered the many sides to aging, as well as the mixed feelings most of us have about both growing older *and* both wanting to and not so wanting to turn our lives around!I felt understood and yet neither condescended to, nor âsoldâa new routine that I âshould haveâ started years ago.I feel understood and hopeful.I can definitely recommend this book.

Great Book
Living longer and living healthier is a goal most of us want to achieve but how do we do it? The authors of this book stress that making a change in anything starts with changing your mindset. You know the definition of insanity âkeep doing what youâre doing but expect a different resultâ, well this book is about doing something different. The book helps you understand the importance of not just eating right, but knowing what foods to eat and how they affect your body, exercising and taking supplements. I like that Lisa and John shared their personal experiences in their own journey to better health and longevity. âThe Anti-Aging Revolutionâ is well written and refers to many studies which I feel gives legitimacy to the information. Itâs an A+ for me.

It was a wonderful journey through the important aspects of healthy aging or even pushing back the usual signs. The combination with Ken Wilber’s quadrants and mindset was a real surprise for me. However, it is refreshing to see this perspective as a valuable contribution as well. Despite the good reference to Ken Wilber, I think Wilber and his teachings take up too much of the book here. It is still a good book.

The book stood out to me with its unique and realistic approach to aging. Lisa and John offer refreshing strategies that go beyond typical advice, addressing the individual fears and hopes associated with growing older. The book’s empathetic tone, combined with well-researched content, makes it a compelling and practical guide for those seeking a healthier and more fulfilling life in their later years.
